Albany veterans suffered a terrible loss July 3th when the American Legion Post 10 caught fire and burned after closing. Fortunately there were no injuries.

The right southbound lane was closed for about 2 1/2 hours during the investigation.
(ALBANY, Ore.) - Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation into Monday evening's fatal traffic crash that resulted in the death of a 41-year old man when he was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in the Albany area.

Police say a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Friday night on Highway 34 just of east of Interstate 5.
Lieutenant Mark Cotter with Oregon State Police says last night at approximately 10:25 p.m., the woman and two companions had stopped their vehicle on the eastbound shoulder of Highway 34 near milepost 11.

Rich Bailey, organizer, says the show will have something for everyone, featuring over 100 show cars, classic cars, custom trucks, roadsters and more.
John Curtis Adkins has been missing since last July.
(PACIFIC CITY, Ore.) -
A Pacific City man is under arrest on Murder charges. Police say the arrest is connected to the disappearance of an Albany man missing since last July, who was the owner of a 47' fishing vessel.
The suspect was arrested in Oregon and is pending extradition to Washington State for arraignment related to the murder of 53-year old John Curtiss Adkins.
Anyone who witnessed the assault Monday evening or has information about this crime, to call Detective Mike Quakenbush at (503)588-6050.
(ALBANY, Oregon) - Police say a Salem man was assaulted Monday evening at about 8:00 p.m. 47-year old Charles Peters told police he was assaulted by two men near the intersection of Pine and Commercial Street NE, according to Salem Police Lt. Steve Birr.
