Walking the tight rope of moral uprightness is a huge challenge these days.

Of course the word “confused” has a power to evoke some really strong feelings or reactions. But the confusion here is not of this generation’s own making - at least according to the way they look at things.

It is their fathers’ fault that they are confused, or so they say and that’s the sad part about the so-called fatherless generation.

The subsidy repeal is opposed by corn growers and ethanol producers, pitting alternative energy interests and environmental policy groups against each other.

(BERKELEY, Calif. MapLight) - Ethanol subsidies On Tuesday, June 14, 2011, the Senate is expected to vote on an amendment introduced by Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) to repeal the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit, which subsidizes the production of ethanol.

On March 9, 2011, a coalition of organizations representing issues traditionally at odds with one another drafted a letter voicing their support for ending ethanol subsidies.

Food For The Poor Celebrates 20 Years of Service in Guyana

During the past several years, Food For The Poor has constructed six Amerindian Villages in Guyana.

(COCONUT CREEK, Fla.) - Residents of Kwakwani assisting Food for the Poor officials in the distribution exercise. Thanks to the continued support of Food For The Poor donors, the third-largest international relief and development agency in the United States will celebrate two decades of service to Guyana’s poor on Friday, June 3.

Food For The Poor began working in Guyana in 1991, delivering food and other basic items to Guyana’s poor.

Commerce News: Tortilla Kings Claim New Mexico Conquest

GRUMA’s expansion in the US has been a contentious one, with rivals sometimes claiming unfair competition.

(LAS CRUCES, N.M.) - Tortillas The world’s dominant tortilla and corn flour manufacturer has purchased a once locally-owned tortilla and chile company in New Mexico.

In an Easter announcement, the Monterrey, Mexico-based Grupo Maseca (GRUMA) said that it had acquired the Albuquerque Tortilla Company for $8.8 million. Founded in 1987, Albuquerque Tortilla Company employed 180 people and had a reported sales stream worth $14 million in 2010.
