(WOODBURN, Ore. ) - Senior Wade Douglas (Ontario, Ore.) finished as the tournament runner-up after shooting a team-best 4-over 76, as Corban's men's golf team finished second behind conference member Northwest Christian at the Corban Spring Classic Saturday at the OGA Course at Tukwila.
Tournament-host Corban competed in its annual Spring Classic against fellow Cascade Collegiate Conference member Northwest Christian and NCAA Division III member George Fox in an 18-hole stroke play match.

Closing out the three-game weekend series with Oregon Tech, Corban took advantage of 10 hits, including two extra base hits, en route to securing the one-run victory.

Jason Ogata paced Oregon State with two hits. The Beavers posted five as a team, but allowed 13 to California. Jeff Kobernus led the Golden Bears with three hits.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - The Willamette Invitational has a history of being one of the most competitive small college meets on the West Coast.
It also holds its own as the largest collegiate meet at all levels in the Pacific Northwest. As a result, the meet has grown to 1,600 entries involving 950 athletes this season. A total of 57 collegiate and club teams will be represented during the meet, set for Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 at the Charles Bowles Track.
