(TACOMA, Wash.) - Willamette University finished the first day of the NWC Men's Spring Classic in fifth place with a score of 317 in action at the Chambers Bay Golf Course on Monday, March 30.
Pacific University led the field with a team score of 294. Max Bonk of Pacific shot a six-under-par 65 to build a six-stroke lead in the medalist race.

Six-foot-four senior center Kristin Shielee (Gresham HS, Gresham, Ore.) scored six points in the last two minutes and finished with a game-high 17 points and seven rebounds. She was named tournament MVP.

With the result, Corban improved to 7-13 on the year with a 5-8 mark in league play. Concordia dropped to 9-13 overall and 4-8 in West Region action.
