(SPOKANE, Wash.) - Willamette University split a pair of matches on the first day of the Whitworth Invitational on Friday, as Lewis-Clark State College defeated the Bearcats, 3-0, before WU downed the University of Montana-Western, 3-1.
Lewis-Clark won the first match 30-16, 30-14, 30-16.
Willamette lost the first game of the second match before rallying past UMW, 24-30, 30-28, 30-26, 31-29.

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ) - Casey Dineen scored two goals and Greg Beasley added one goal, as Willamette University built a 3-0 first-half lead on its way to a 3-2 win over Whittier College in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Willamette improved to 1-1-1 on the season, while Whittier fell to 0-2.

(AZUSA, Calif.) - In the opening game of the 2007 Cougar Classic, Corban's men's soccer team fell to nationally-ranked Westmont, 4-1, as freshman Ayouba Moussa scored his third straight goal off an assist from junior Justin Lucia on Friday at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
After falling behind 2-0 after the first 18-plus minutes thanks to a pair of goals by Westmont's Anthony Niboli, Corban shut down the scoring onslaught of the nationally-ranked Warriors from Santa Barbara for the next 26 minutes.
Three games into the season, Corban is now 2-1-0 overall, 1-0-0 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Read Full Article

The assist gives Enyeart a team-high five this season, as the Pilots improve to 3-0.

The Meyerside, England native scored the first, third and fourth goals of the game for the Beavers, who improved to 2-1 overall this season after the victory.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Jen Cameron kept the game scoreless when Oregon needed it and Danielle Sweeney led a record-setting second-half blitzkrieg as the Ducks routed UC Riverside 5-1 Friday night before 570 fans at Pape’ Field.
Sweeney scored two goals with an assist which were all part of Oregon’s record five second half scores.

After defeating Serena in the quarterfinals, Henin prevailed over the elder Williams, Venus, in the semifinals on a hot, humid and breezy afternoon.
