350 Alternative Health Faire this Weekend for a Healthy Planet & Healthy People

The Alternative Health Faire happens this Saturday in downtown Salem.

(SALEM, Ore.) - 350 Alternative Health Faire Organizers of a Health Faire in Salem this weekend say their goal is to provide at least 350 treatments while raising public awareness around a new standard.

JoAnne Kohler of the Tea Party Bookshop which is hosting th event, says, "Although global levels currently exceed the 350 ppm (we are at 390), more stringent standards can possibly reverse this upward trend and prevent runaway climate change."

Jack Herer Strives To Recover While The Fight For Hemp Goes On

Jack Herer is recovering from a heart attack, but his mission to bring hemp into the spotlight as an answer for multiple problems, continues.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Jack Herer Jack Herer is a very resilient fellow. 40 years ago he was a Goldwater Republican. Nine years ago he suffered a minor heart attack, and a major stroke. All these calamaties and more, he survived.

But his fight continues. For the last four weeks, Jack has been in a Portland Oregon hospital, slowly recovering from a heart attack. On Monday, he was discharged from Legacy Emanuel Hospital, and was moved to a nursing facility in Eugene.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Jack Herer signing autographs at Seattle's Hempfest, August 2009 Jack Herer is the guy up front. The one you can hear from the back of the crowd. He's been the biggest voice in the advocacy movement for hemp and marijuana since the 70's. The book he wrote has become the bible of the legalization revolution.

The "impassioned speech", as it has become known, that he gave at HempStalk in Portland has already risen to the top of speeches by Jack Herer, and some have said it was his most important. Some have said it will have been his last.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Jack Herer As of this morning there was little change in his condition. He has not awakened, and is in stable but critical condition. On this, the seventh day since Jack Herer was struck down by a heart attack, he is still fighting for his life, but he's not fighting it alone.

Bonnie has served in a number of positions in the broadcast industry; TV Production Manager at KVWB (Las Vegas WB) and Producer/Director for the TV series "Hot Wheels in Las Vegas" (2 seasons); TV Promotion Director for KYMA (NBC), and KFBT (Ind.); Asst. Marketing Director (SUPERSHOPPER MAGAZINE); Director/Co-Host (Coast Entertainment Show); Promotion Director (KBCH/KCRF Radio); and, Newspapers In Education/Circulation Sales Manager (STATESMAN JOURNAL NEWSPAPER).

Bonnie has a depth of understanding that reaches further than just behind the scenes, and that thoroughness of her nature is demonstrated in the perseverance to correctly present each story with the wit and wisdom necessary to compel and captivate viewers.
