(WOODBURN, Ore.) - Woodburn Police responded to reported gunshots Monday night about 10:30 in the area of 561 Hall St, Woodburn. On scene, police discovered 3 men outside the residence who had been shot while in or near their vehicle.

One of the men, 36-year old Ernesto Benjamin Vasquez, from Woodburn, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two men, 29-year old Eduardo Solorio, Jr., and 22-year old Andrew Thomas Davis, both also from Woodburn, were transported to OHSU for emergency medical treatment.

Solorio was later pronounced dead while Davis remains in stable condition.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office conducted autopsies Tuesday of Vasquez and Solorio and determined that both men died from gunshot wounds. The manner of death is homicide.

A multi-agency team of investigators from the Woodburn Police Department, the Keizer Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff's Office, and the Oregon State Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crime.

Anyone with information should call Det. Nick Wilson at (503) 982-2345.

Ernesto was an amazing man with a huge heart and quite a sense of humor! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I was honored to be with his family these last few days. Seeing all your friends and coworkers gather for you (and your family) was quite a tribute to your life and the type of man you were. You touched so many lives and will never be forgotten. Neto,I am so glad we were able to work things out before this happened. You will live on in our hearts always. You were so special to us, we love you!!
