(VANCOUVER, B.C.) - Many Salem-News.com readers are already familiar with Dr. Anthony J. Hall, a Professor of Globalization Studies at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada. We have carried Anthony's articles for some time and they rank among our best. The video clip below shows Anthony Hall's interview with a reporter for Canada's CTV that was recorded in front of the Vancouver Club 26 September 2011. The subject of both the discussion and of the protest rally is the failure of Canadian officials to enforce domestic and international law by arresting former US Vice-President Dick Cheney. Hall said, "Cheney clearly fills all the criteria of a person who should have been charged under the terms of the Canadian Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act, 2000." Several governments believe that former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, who served under the administration of George W. Bush, is guilty of numerous war crimes in relation to the current wars in the Middle east. Hall and others present at the event say Cheney needs to be arrested and tried for his crimes in a world court. Dick Cheney visited Calgary, Alberta, Canada on September 27, 2011. Cheney as a credibly accused war criminal is inadmissible to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and, if allowed into Canada, should be apprehended under the laws enshrined in the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act. Calgary activists pressured law enforcement officials to do their jobs and uphold the rule of law to prevent Canada from becoming a safe haven for war criminals. Speakers in this video include Joshua Blakeney, Jason Devine and Peggy Askin. -
