Portland Police Investigate Stabbing death in NESalem-News.com
This investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The victim in last night's homicide has been identified as 45-year-old Todd James Young of Northeast Portland. The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy this morning and determined that Young died of a stab wound. Family members have been notified.
Early Saturday morning, September 25, 2010, at approximately 12:41 a.m., Portland Police Officers responded to the report of a stabbing outside Paddy's bar in the 1700 Block of Northeast 122nd Avenue. Officers arrived and found a 45-year-old male on the ground suffering from a stab wound. Two witnesses were performing CPR on the victim. Medical personnel arrived and determined that the victim was deceased.
The initial investigation indicates that the victim and suspect were in some type of argument prior to the suspect stabbing the victim. The suspect fled the area on foot.
Homicide detectives and criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division are onscene and will continue the investigation. No arrests have been made yet in connection with this homicide. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
