Joe Wilson's Utterly Memorable 'You Lie' Comment Focus of SNL Sketch (VIDEO)

NBC's writers try their hand at imagining the moments leading up to, and following Wilson's recent Congressional outburst.

(NEW YORK) - Joe Wilson topped the charts for overall human disrespect when he called out "you lie" to President Barack Obama during his recent speech to Congress.

Right on cue, the folks from "Saturday Night Live" release a sketch that plays off Wilson's comment, or more specifically, the time preceding it.

It's fall down rolling on your sides funny.

The new Thursday NBC spin-off SNL program, hosted by Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers, opened with a typical SNL political sketch that still goes out with, "Live from New York it's Saturday night." They apparently just moved past the Thursday night thing, but that's another story.

It centers around Joe Wilson's ridiculous outburst during a joint session of Congress. The South Carolina Representative yelled "you lie" at the President when he clearly by all fact checkers, was not even lying.

The SNL sketch shows a meeting of Republicans just prior to stepping onto the Congressional floor. They decide that all will yell 'you lie' in unison.

Joe Wilson excuses himself to go to the bathroom, and the group gets cool feet and decides against the idea, but poor Joe doesn't know.

You know the rest of the story.

This is the only video clip of the episode on YouTube, you can also visit the NBC site to view the program at full quality. Here is the link for that: nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live
