(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Washington County Detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating Daniel Lee Gordon, they say he pointed an assault rifle at his ex-girlfriend last night. Although he no longer has the rifle in his possession, he is still considered armed and dangerous. Sgt. David Thompson with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, says that at about 3:25 AM, 40-year old Daniel Lee Gordon kicked in the door of his ex-girlfriend's residence and entered the house holding an AK-47 assault rifle. "Mr. Gordon and his ex-girlfriend have children together. Two of the children were in the house at the time of the incident. Mr. Gordon ordered the occupants of the house to get on the floor and threatened to kill the victim." Witnesses told police he pointed the rifle at the victim's head as she lay on the ground and told her he was going to shoot her. Gordon's 16-year old daughter attacked him along with several other people in the house. They were able to wrestle the firearm away from him. Thompson says Gordon was injured in the fight and eventually fled the scene on foot. "One of the men in the house chased after Gordon and may have damaged the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle is described as a brown or gray sedan that may be a BMW. The damage to the vehicle would be on the rear driver's side, where an object was thrown at the car." Occupants of the house placed several 911 calls during the struggle and Washington County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the scene. After arriving and receiving the initial story, they conducted an area search for Gordon, but were unable to locate him. He is currently wanted on a parole violation warrant and charges stemming from this incident. None of the six occupants at the residence were seriously injured during this incident. Daniel Gordon may have received several superficial injuries to his head and body. Gordon has a long criminal history, Thompson says. He is considered armed and dangerous. If you know the whereabouts of Daniel Lee Gordon please call 911, do not approach him or alert him that law enforcement has been notified. Source: Multnomah County Sheriff
