Talk Show Host Makes Accusation Against Oregon Governor

The word about Kulongoski's being "in the know" about the affair comes from one of Goldschmidt’s prior speech writers, who says he revealed the relationship to Kulongoski before the appointment was made.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregonians sure love conflict, don't they? Following on the path of a trail of problems currently swirling around Sheriff Bernie Giusto, local talk show host Lars Larson has placed Oregon's current Governor in the center of accusations that he too knew about a former Governor's affair with his babysitter, and didn't say anything.

News Radio 750 KXL's Lars Larson has filed a formal complaint against Kulongoski with the Oregon State Bar.

Larson believes that the Governor violated ethic standards by pointing former Governor Neil Goldschmidt to the Board of Higher Education. Larson alleges that Kulongoski knew that Goldschmidt had a sexual relationship with a 14-year old girl who was a family babysitter.

The word about Kulongoski's being "in the know" comes from one of Governor Goldschmidt’s prior speech writers, who says he revealed the relationship to Kulongoski before the appointment was made.

Larson says that if the complaint is confirmed by the bar, Kulongoski could lose his right to practice law. It is reported that the Governor's license is inactive at this time.

To all: Among those in the media, it is well recognized that many station-owner, program-sponsor and other support comes to such as those-named simply because that plays to what will always pay --lowest common denominator of content. Murdoch's whole career is solid proof of that point. Always big bugaboo in any part of public offerings, but for many American decades "the media" operated first and foremost on solid professional principle, vs overblown dollar-drive shaped and forced by Wall St. values today, with twenty-thirty percent return not considered enough-now. We are fortunate that not all media ownership falls into this delusionary pattern, with growing concern across the industry for its deadly damage to democracy, where "free speech" is the best protection for producing further honest democratic strengths.

That "Anon" to B-Booz is mine, must confess.

B-Booz: Admire yr straight language, recognizing major problem also touched in Comment with Op Ed. We suffer from profusion of same sillinesses in media today, illuminating some same points-there, and emphasizing essential impact of open, honest channels for protection of what democracy we still manage to retain. "Free speech" demands clear listener-reaction; it is OUR choice when we allow such as this to continue and control. "Suppression" is NOT the answer in this nation; full attention by responsible citizens with rational answers is demanded now more than ever before.

Allen: As I read Tim's copy, his reference to "relationship" tied to previous statements cited, and is NOT his own -- a standard writing approach. Your query demands that old mirror-test: try it to see how it feels. Might help you next time; it works often for me !

Lars Larson is a self-serving shill for the GOP, he has nobody's welfare but his own in mind. What a muck raking, knuckle dragging, bottom feeding, mouth breeding bed-wetter! dp

Now Tim, would you call Neil's rape of a 14 year old girl "a relationship" if it were your daughter?
