'I've Had a Rough Day'

We as a Nation have lost our way, lost our identity, and lost our God and are in process of losing our soul. Our children are lost in the wilderness, crying for direction, trying to find their way home.

(LAS CRUCES, NM) - We have to have some kind of ongoing conflict to keep our defense contractors busy and our major corporations operating in the black and our stock market alive. We can only coast along for a very short time before we have to kindle the fires of our war machines. If those fires are not stroked then our bellies become empty and our workers become idle, lazy and are sent home. Our children go hungry, our shopping malls, empty.

Our system is based on greed and war. If there is no conflict ongoing somewhere, then we have to engage someone, even if its a lonely man walking down a darken road with his children.

If we can't engage someone, then we throw our money across the seas and pay those who hate us to attack us so we can once again fill our bellies, feed our war machine and our children.

It was never meant to be this way for America, but our apathy and our unwillingness to engage in the true values of life allowed it to happen. Its been a slow deadly process of evolution. We have created our own reality. By degrees we have failed our children and we have failed our heritage. We have failed those who in the past sacrificed their lives, paying the ultimate price to keep our Nation free from tyranny and the evils of the world.

We as a Nation have lost our way, lost our identity, and lost our God and are in process of losing our soul. Our children are lost in the wilderness, crying for direction, trying to find their way home. But there is no home for them to find. We have burned their houses down with our war machines and greed. We no longer breed leaders, men of vision, men and women empowered with inspiration, endowed with true banners of truth, real visionaries. We breed hatred, abuse, and deceit. We as a Nation are cooked. The only thing left to do is stick a fork in us. We are done.

Damn. I've had a rough day.

Tosh on the US/Mexican border

Robert 'Tosh' Plumlee is a retired commercial pilot who worked for and with the United States Government for many years. His background is extremely diverse and over the years Tosh was involved in many government operations that are both fascinating and historic. His work began with an enlistment in the Army and a subsequent assignment to military specialized operations at Fort Bliss, Texas in April of 1954. Tosh was associated with various Military Intelligence units of the Fourth Army based at Fort Bliss, Texas, and also the Fourth Army Reserve, located at Dallas Love Field, Dallas Texas. This service period was in the early to mid-fifties and into the early sixties.

From approximately 1962 through 1963, Tosh was assigned to the Cuban Project which operated at the time from the JM/WAVE station attached to Miami, Florida's 'Cuba Desk' of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He operated as a contract "Undercover pilot" and also, at times, was assigned to specialized Cuban operations of the CIA's "Covert Action Group" (CAG).

In recent years Tosh has been working along the U.S./Mexico border as a news photojournalist and his contributions to Salem-News.com are wide ranging and extremely valuable. We believe he is the top living source of information about U.S. government covert history.
