For all: If you think all dollars go legal-way, then I have great fund of insider-stories to share...some day ! Was in Chicago in early Daley-days, in DC long before K-Street white-envelopes, and even sat in on some such session, too...ain't none-of-'em "pure as the dew" in ANY state, including ours.

Henry Ruark October 4, 2006 10:29 am (Pacific time)

Odd coincidence: Saxton-story re character-revelation now has continuing chapter: See Metro-page Lead Story righthand column today re Oregon Bar examination of conflict-of-interest charges over which veteran of his firm quit when incompleted. "See with own eyes" for full detail, then decide who kissed whom...and where.

Henry Ruark October 3, 2006 1:26 pm (Pacific time)

Steve: Politicians are characterized by that approach; the difference is in where they are willing to kiss. We know what side Saxton is on; he chose it as corporation counsel.

Steve-Albany October 3, 2006 11:57 am (Pacific time)

Oh yea.........and Sleepy Ted has not profited from his time in office and all the "contributions" he received. Not to mention all the lobbyists he "kissed."

Henry Ruark October 3, 2006 10:12 am (Pacific time)

Steve et al: What makes you think it is Saxton's money ? It comes from deep-pocket persons seeking something other than YOUR best interests. Re "vacations", Saxton's run will end nicely, if not neatly, with corporate connections conspicuously concentrated, for him and his law firm.

Steve-Albany October 3, 2006 9:39 am (Pacific time)

So.........why is Sleepy Teddy K keeping all his extra cash? Oh, just in case he loses, he can take a long lazy vacation to places unknown maybe. I think I will run for office so I can gather $$$ to just "put in the bank and collect interest" too. Like him or hate him, at leaset Saxton is spending his money. I do not agree with all of Ron's positions, but he is a far better candidate than Sleepy Teddy K. To bad Robin Williams isn't a candidate. At least then, there would be a reason besides Teddy K and the Democrats, that State Government is a joke.
