(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Sheriff's deputies arrested a Milwaukie man on Sex Abuse charges Monday afternoon at his gym in Clackamas. Detective Jim Strovink, Spokesman for the Clackamas Sheriff's Office, says it began when an 18-year-old female called her mother crying hysterically after allegedly being sexually assaulted in the gym by its operator, according to that afternoon.

"Her daughter was declaring she had been invited by the proprietor of a nearby gym to visit his facility on Jannsen Road, in Clackamas -- where she reports being sexually abused by this man."

Strovink says a Clackamas County Sheriff's patrol deputy was dispatched to this reported incident and located the 18-year-old female situated in her automobile at an intersection in the Clackamas area.

"This investigating deputy indicates it was easily recognized the young woman had been crying excessively; with cosmetics visibly running down her face and collecting around her neck. She was emotionally distraught."

The woman reportedly told the deputy she met a customer where she works, at a coffee shop, about two weeks prior.

"She described how this man, estimated to be in his 30's, invited her for a ‘free session' at the gym he owned, in Clackamas," Strovink said.

This business is Real Fitness, located at 9063 SE Jannsen Road, in Clackamas. The proprietor of Real Fitness and suspect in this case is 38-year old Bryce Darrel Jackson, with a residential address on SE Laurel, in Milwaukie. Strovink says the woman arrived for this reported ‘free session' at Real Fitness, where Jackson invited her inside the facility. Strovink says the man locked the door after the woman entered.

"They were the only two persons present in the facility, while Jackson directed her to do some exercises and photographed her in front of a chart."

"This activity reportedly leads to where Bryce Jackson began massaging this woman as she was performing stretching exercises. This ultimately advanced to the reported sexual abuse incident. Ultimately, the woman soon departed the premises –- without further incident -- then calling her mother hysterically from the roadside a short distance from the Jannsen Road location."

Strovink says investigators went to Real Fitness at approximately 4:45 p.m. and interviewed Bryce Jackson.

"Pursuant to this investigation, Bryce Jackson was arrested at his place of business, transported to the Clackamas County Jail and lodged with the related charge of Sex Abuse - in the second degree," Strovink said.

Bryce Jackson posted bond the next day and was released from custody. Jackson is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on this matter on November 24, 2009, 3:00 p.m. This matter will be heard in Clackamas County Circuit Court, in Oregon City.

Investigators Seek Other Possible Victims

Clackamas County deputies investigating the case say they are concerned for the welfare of other women who may have been victimized at this location by this person.

Investigators are hoping any additional women who have experienced this same type of reported misconduct will contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

Editor's note: It is always important to note in stories of this nature, that this type of charge can be very difficult on many people, especially the defendant if they are ultimately innocent. This individual is charged, but has not been convicted. That means that until or unless authorities can convict this individual, we will not know the outcome, and thus the suspect's innocence or guilt.
