Nov-02-2006 09:06TweetFollow @OregonNews Another Bird in Marion County Tests Positive For West NileSalem-News.comThere have been no human cases of West Nile virus identified in Marion County.
(SALEM) - A blue jay collected on October 24th, from the Aumsville area has tested positive for West Nile Virus. This is the second case of West Nile virus in a bird from Marion County since the virus was first introduced into the United States in 1999. West Nile virus is transmitted through the bite of a mosquito. The best defense against West Nile virus is to prevent mosquito bites. People can take the following steps to reduce their chances of being bitten:
West Nile virus is an infection that lives in birds. It is spread when a mosquito feeds on an infected bird and then bites a human. Birds cannot transmit the illness directly to humans, nor is it transmitted from other animals to humans or from person-to-person. Most people who are infected with West Nile virus will have no symptoms, and in those who do symptoms are usually mild, with fever and flu-like illness. Severe infections may cause encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), and rarely, death. The risk of severe illness is greater in persons over 50 years of age. A vaccine against West Nile virus has been developed for horses, but there is no vaccine for humans. People who find a bird that is known to have died due to illness within the past 24 hours should call (503) 588-5346 to ask about testing. Only crows, jays, ravens and magpies will be tested for West Nile virus. For more information about West Nile virus and protection against mosquito bites, call (503) 588-5346. Wow! I just visited and read the entire home page at www.drcarley.com . It's friggin' amazing that these atrocities have been going on! Surely it's only a matter of time that the plug gets pulled on the net for revealing the truth. Wow, thanks for enlightening me on this. Unfriggin'beleivable! - Adam B.

People should visit Dr. Carleys web site and read her page and find out what the TRUE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION really are that we have been experiencing for sometime now and not have known it but have actually been giving consent to alow these practices. By spraying the human population with Maliothon IS worse and only opens up the door to worser scenarios..yet people consent. Critical analysis should be - on the military - pharmaceutical complex that supplied Saddam Hussein with his bioweapons. -Phil McCrackin

I keep wondering if the West Nile Virus even really exists. If the CDC is the agency doing the diagnosing, how do we know for sure? Is the CDC to be trusted? The news media headlines call it an EPIDEMIC (when allegedly 11 out of 285,000,000 had died); the sub-head says in bold print that A Thousand More Will Be Infected; and admits in the body of the article that 4 of 5 infected merely run a mild fever for a few days and it's over. Seems that the 'prevention' is worse than the alleged disease. Malethion (sp?) carries severe warnings to 'not inhale'... and that's been sprayed on millions in the cities to prevent a West Nile Virus outbreak. Beamer
