(SEVILLE, Spain / LABEGE, France) - It is estimated that there are currently about 18 million people worldwide with Alzheimer’s disease. This figure is projected to nearly double by 2025 to 34 million.

More than 60 percent of people who have Alzheimer's wander at some point from their homes or care centers, according to the Alzheimer's Association. This puts the wanderer in a very precarious situation and causes great stress to the family due to its infringement of the person´s safety.

In 2003, Francisca Garcia and Abilio Caetano, both Spanish telecomunication engineers, realized that this was an issue that had to be addressed. After watching on the news the tragic death of a wanderer with Alzheimer´s, they decided that their skills and knowledge could and SHOULD be applied to something that would benefit families and respected members of society.

Apart from Alzheimer´s disease, wandering is also prevalent and statistically higher amongst children with Autism.

In 2007, the Keruve Family Direct Locator was complete and consists of a GPS wristwatch with safety lock, for the person with Alzheimer´s, and a portable receiver for the carer.

With just the press of a button you will see the exact position of where the person is located.

In 2010, they developed the Pikavú Express Locator, which is very similar in design and functionality, offers a panic button on the wristwatch so that alarm notifications can be sent to the caregiver.

There is no price on security and safety. Both the Pikavu and Keruve are specialized in their respective sectors, providing reliability and ease of use for providing for the family.

Vision Localization System´s goal is to continue developing products so that families can have peace of mind, and make sure that their loved ones can be located quickly and effectively.

The company´s scale has extended internationally to over 20 countries and is focused primarily in the USA, Spain, France, Germany and the UK.
