(NEW DELHI ) - NLD Chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, made history this week by taking a Myanmar parliament seat. The Nobel Prize Winner has spent the majority of the past twenty years on house arrest.

Writing for the Website for her political party, National League for Democracy party, she wrote this optimistic message:

A good communication system is essential to our endeavour to set up a people's network for democracy that will span the whole world. I am very pleased indeed that there is now a web page that will make the policies and activities of the National League for Democracy known across the globe.

By communication, through the web page, with strong supporters of our cause, as well as with those who want to know more about our movement for democracy and about the NLD, I believe we shall be able to achieve our goal of a democratic union at a faster pace.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all those whose worked so hard to make this web page a reality.

NLD Election Campaign Committee and NLD candidates met at the headquarters of NLD on March 8. NLD patron U Tin Oo chaired the meeting and NLD youth member Ma Myint Myint Aye conducted as master of ceremony. After introductory speech of the Chairman of the meeting, NLD Chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi made an opening speech. Then candidates from respective constituencies presented their experiences in their campaign activities.

Most of the discussions were about errors in voters' list declared by the respective Election Commissions such as missing voters and extra numbers of voters but Election Commissions did not extend the dead line for correcting those wrong figures. NLD Election Campaign manager U Nyan Win responded that he would complain about that to the Union Election Commission.

NLD candidates also discussed about unjust campaign activities conducted common in respective constituencies.
