America Today

Evangelism is the guiding light of all to which Pastors and members of mega Churches adhere.

(PASO ROBLES, CA) - There are abusive realities today that are just coming to light, but perhaps the worst is that prison inmates have received checks from the government which if added together amounts to a considerable total.

In the state of Washington, a woman who lived, or lives, in a million dollar mansion overlooking Lake Washington, also received welfare.

In Michigan a 24 year old woman who won a million dollars in a lottery continued to receive $200.00 a month in foods stamps because, she said, she had no job and had bills to pay; she owns two houses and drives a new car. But times are changing; now that the cats are out of the bag, these errors hopefully will become a thing of the past. But what of others yet untold, and what restitution can be expected from felons in prison or robbers who are not?

On the other hand, hardly a day goes by that we don’t read of another killing, and or wounding, of family members, or others, by handguns. In fact in Arizona, it is legal for anyone to carry a gun, and a year ago a deranged man killed several, including a judge and a child, and seriously wounded a Congresswoman who he shot in the head who has since resigned from Congress and whose prognosis remains questionable if hopeful.

From Ken Ramey's article: False Prophets of Doom

The situation is reminiscent of the wild west of yesteryear because Republican’s and the NRA tie permissiveness to their misguided opinion of the meaning of the Second Amendment which reads, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Now, let’s be reasonable; Republicans do not constitute “A well regulated Militia,” and armed individuals alone are not necessary to the security of our free State: the Military, National Guard, FBI, police departments and The Supreme Court have been assigned that role.

Political Parties have always had periodicals favoring one faction or the other, but Rush Limbaugh’s three hour rants against anything to the left of the very Far Right, has taken on women’s rights by attacking a legal student who attends Georgetown University in Washington D., a Jesuit school. Because Ms. Fluke was not permitted to testify before a Panel of Republicans - all men and one woman - she was invited to testify before a Democratic Panel on women’s health issues, which she did.

Rush Limbaugh was so deliberate in his insults of this innocent and well meaning woman, that he succeeded in creating a backlash that may not soon be forgotten by the gentler sex which has gotten their backs up against him and the GOP. So far Rush has lost more than thirty of his sponsors, and female Representatives in Governments have introduced legislation to require men to be screened and subjected to medical procedures equally ridiculous, if not similar, to those demanded of women by their counterparts.

The GOP has become, as they say, the Party of God, which has as its Vatican the Evangelical Holy See that calls the shots, one of which is that no Republican shall speak ill of Rush Limbaugh; the Catholic Vatican has been known to use similar tactics when it works to its advantage.

From Judi Iranyi's article: Does Rush Limbaugh
Speak for the GOP?

The Truth is except for Ron Paul - who is becoming a non-candidate - no Republican has stepped out of line to denounce Rush openly because, it appears, the word from above is that if they do, they will not be the Party’s Nominee. With few exceptions, Republicans vote as a block, and most, if not all Republican members of Congress have signed the Grover Norquist Pledge never to raise taxes. Need we really have to ask, who’s in charge here? Power accrues slowly but irresistibly in the case of the GOP’s Party of God.

The Evangelical Holy See exerts its power both ways; certain individuals, such as Rush Limbaugh, is a mouthpiece that has been given free rein, and Grover Norquist is another who, I believe does as he is asked to lend power to Republican and the Holy See’s objective to regain the Presidency and reduce American citizens slowly but surely to obedience of their dogmatic will.

Evangelism is the guiding light of all to which Pastors and members of mega Churches adhere. Rev. Parsley of Cincinnati preached, when Geo. W. Bush was President. that it was Jesus’ will that American-Christians destroy Islam, and America went to war against Iraq, preemptively. Ron Paul is correct about Iran, and I am hopeful President Obama will not cave in to the Israeli desire to force America into war against Iran. It may be in Israel’s interest, but I can’t see how it would be in the interest of America.

Islamic émigrés to our shores who insist on living as they did in their homeland should not be allowed to flaunt their religion abusively by costume in public or by Honor killing first-generation daughters who are adjusting to their new and preferred social surroundings. America is supposed to be the melting pot of the world where the practice of religion is free, and no one religion should expect or pretend to be greater than any other.

The seed of the Evangelical Movement in America is the Puritan Sect of old.

The title, Puritan, is seldom mentioned today, but they have infiltrated the Republican Party with its insistent denunciation of Democratic principles. Protestants won their freedom from Catholic abuses in the 18th Century, the same century in which Pilgrims and Puritans killed their last witch in America, and in which our Declaration of Independence was declared, followed by the writing of the Constitution which separated Church from State. But Evangelists have added another dimension to good intentions and renounce what was written by the Founders as being contrary to their intentions by insisting that its own interpretation is correct. Pure nonsense of course, except to those who believe what they are told is true, the people who form the base of the Republican Party and are members of what has become an Evangelical Sect.

The Three Religions of the Book profess to worship the same God, but it is not easy to discern why or how. Wars have been fought and millions killed in the name of all three, especially between Christian and Islamic factions, but also between and within each religion. It is estimated that in the struggle for religious freedom between Protestants and Roman Catholics, ten million persons died horrible deaths over a period of three centuries; the 15th into the18th. And who can ignore the Holocaust in which Nazis killed millions of Jews during WW-II while Christianity’s Holy See, by its silence, seemed to approve Hitler’s Final Solution, but ultimately claimed otherwise?

The Puritans came to America later than their Pilgrim cousins where they settled comfortably among them. Both believed in witches and killed their last in 1720 here in America. The practice was a holdover from the example in Europe - when Calvinists killed its last witch fifty years later. The Catholic Inquisitions were used extensively prior to the Schism and was, copied by Protestants of Calvinist and Lutheran persuasion. Pilgrims immigrated from Rotterdam, a Lutheran country, and landed in Massachusetts near Plymouth Rock in 1621, but moved inland where later their colony was joined by Puritans of the Calvinist faith. Pilgrims became the seed for the Congregational church in America, and the Puritans, being supremely devout and of fundamentalist belief in the Bible and Jesus as Christ, became the seed for the Evangelical Movement in America.

Puritans recognized the value of government, and used its example to work their way up in a variety of Protestant hierarchies. Organization and an insistent belief in Jesus as Christ, with all that pertains to such belief, seems naturally to have elevated them to the level of Holy See of the Republican Party of God; where God and Jesus Christ are synonymous in Protestant parlance, and their members do not waver from what they perceive as Gospel, and their Pastors seem determined someday to rule the world, beginning with the United States.

Israel understands this better than do we Americans and I believe would be delighted if President Obama and the Democratic Party was defeated in November, because Israel would then have better luck getting the War Hawks of a Republican Administration to agree to a pre-emptive strike against Iran. I am convinced that by re-electing Barack Obama to a second term such an error can be avoided, at least for the time being, for the good of America.

In the early stage of the Republican campaign the Evangelist Rev. Jeffrees of Dallas fame announced that Mitt Romney lacked sufficient Christian “purity” to be considered for the presidency because he was a member of the Mormon “cult,” For that reason, the Rev. chose to embrace Rick Perry for as the nominee, but Rick failed him. A further reduction of candidates, leaves four; Gingrich, Romney. Santorum and Ron Paul.

Ron Paul plans is collect sufficient delegates to permit him to play a part during the Republican Convention. Gingrich recently embraced his third wife’s Catholic religion which he’s tried to use to obtain support from the Evangelicals. It did in Georgia where Gingrich was once a Senator, but not in Mississippi or Alabama; two states solidly in the Evangelical camp.

Rich Santorum is a dyed the wool Catholic that appeals to a like contingent of his Party, he is not a true evangelical, but he did win in Louisiana. If he can stop Mitt Romney, Evangelists might back him as its Nominee, for he might be the easiest for the Holy See to manipulate. But if he clings to the dogma of Catholicism which differs from true Evangelistic dogma; it could pose a dilemma for the Republican Holy See.

Mitt Romney. in an off the cuff remark, implied that God (he means Jesus) favored his candidacy in some way, to which Mr. Santorum responded that, if Mitt wants to talk about God, let’s get on with it - or words to that effect. He believes in God’s will too. That could pit the two Catholics against the Mormon to determine God’s true meaning, an impossibility, in my opinion. For no man, including those of faith, can speak for God whose manner is inscrutable and impossible to interpret. God is what we are taught to believe is true, and no man is the voice of God. Evangelists attribute Natural Disasters to the will of Jesus based on what they have decided is what they prefer to believe. It is they who want to bend our will to theirs for the power it gives them. Finally, the number of anti-American militias operating in the states now exceed 1200, four times greater than previously thought. They refer to themselves as Sovereign Citizens who are not subject to any law but God’s, which is closest to the Puritan concept and makes me wonder if they are affiliated with the GOP’s persuasion as well.

Both federal (congress) and states (legislatures) vote in bi-partisan majorities to uphold the 2nd Amendment as an individual "right". The U.S. Supreme Court has also ruled that is the case, and onerous regulations that provide obstacles to this right by local pols, have been adjudicated as illegal. In terms of Limbaugh, he has record revenues from advertisers as reported by competent business editors. Ms. Fluke came out last week that she did not know that within a mile of here college residence were over a dozen stores where she could have found birth control pills for $9 monthly. Possibly the congressional committee that stated she was not qualified to speak before them in the particular matters of insurance mandates and 1st Amendment issues were correct? It sure looks like this had been planned going back to last January. Also, how the Supreme Court rules on the Obamacare insurance mandate will be just another kick at the can. Hopefully no one attempts to pass legislation on how one can, or cannot worship. Of course there are a lot of people out there quite disturbed about people having religious beliefs. So whose the biggest threat to freedom, believers, or those who are trying to challenge those beliefs? I have yet to see any legislation that has been passed that took away anyone's rights in regards to one's beliefs, except those who don't want people to exercise their religious beliefs, and not the other way. Elections have consequences, so please educate yourselves of different perspectives before voting.
