(YANGON, Burma) - According to a local telephone call from the residents of Mingaladaungyunt, Yangon, Myanamr a crowd of over 5000 Buddhist extremists including both terrorist monks and local extremists surrounded the Muslim quarter in Mingaladaungyunt Tsp. When Muslims came outside of their houses, fearfully attempting to seek safety, security forces arrived and they were ordered to go back; forces divided the groups. Muslims went into their houses and the extremists are still surrounded in front of security forces. The gang of extremists seemed particularly intent on setting fire to houses and destroying two mosques named Rakhine Mosque and Rawan Mosque. This has been a repeated pattern in the Buddhist on Muslim violence which has not receded since last summer, when the rape and murder of a Buddhist woman was pinned on young Muslim men. In Mingaladaungyunt, the groups are said to be insulting religious books of Islam. What happened additionally at this point is still unknown. Dear respected International bodies: please focus immediately to this critical situation of Muslims of Myanmar who are under life-risk. Edited for Salem-News.com by Tim King
