'We will not leave you alone' -Slogan of WVIP

World Vision in Progress – WVIP is a Lahore based organization working against social and religious injustice based on religion.

(ISLAMABAD) - A couple of days back, when I went to Lahore to distribute food to the Badami Bagh victims, there were many other organizations doing the same; some were distributing food stuff, others were distributing clothes.

After my work was done, I went to take a look around the other camps. There I saw a group, who placed a slogan, “we will not leave you alone”, in its restoration camp where they were distributing ceiling fans, crockery, pillows, bed sheets, quilts and charpais.

As soon as I reached there, I saw that they are from World Vision in Progress. A group of dynamic people told that they had planned to deliver more to these needy people. They said that they don’t believe in photographs, but to maintain the record, it’s necessary to show our heads.

I met Farrukh Harry Saif (chief of WVIP) during the Rimsha case; he came to Islamabad to deliver to the displaced people of Meharabadi. During our first meeting, he seemed to be a committed man with strong vision.

World Vision in Progress – WVIP is a Lahore based organization working against social and religious injustice based on religion. WVIP has dealt with a number of blasphemy cases.

Farrukh told me on the telephone that WVIP's mission is to reach the needy minority people. There is no discrimination of religion, race and creed. They are all our brothers and sisters. And we believe that our Christ Jesus teaches us to help the person in need and you shall be helped.

We pray that our people can live in peace and can lead a prosperous life. I request to all our people to pray for us, he added.
