(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) - A former Oregon broadcaster living and working in San Diego, California, Ken Grandlund, received two prestigious awards for his work on television production at The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Pacific Southwest Chapter 2009 Emmy Nominations. Grandlund, the 1989 class President of Taft High School in Lincoln City, Oregon, has experience as a Radio DJ, News Broadcaster, Singer, Actor, Television Producer, and Writer. He was nominated for two categories this year. Those categories were Promotional/Program and Commercial. In the Commercial – Single Spot, Series, or Campaign category, Ken Grandlund won a Silver Telly Award. He says the news of his Promotional video earning an Emmy Award, "came as a pleasant surprise." In the Promotion - Program - Single Spot/Campaign category, Ken Grandlund from XETV earned an Emmy Award for Simpsons Election Night. Those awards will join Grandlund's three Telly's, an Aurora, and a NATPE Iris Award for previous work in television. He works for San Diego's XETV which is the city's FOX affiliate. Anon: Yr comment obnoxious here, sir, since you do not yourself have confidence enough in your own words even to use a single name. Cheap-shot it is, on story commending accomplishments far beyond what you can show, since no national prizes are ever awarded to "anonymous" !!
