Makin' Deals for Autographs: Ted Nugent- Stellar Representative of Conservative America

The "Wild Man" of Rock and Roll in a new century.

Ted Nugent
He claims to be a good republican, but seems to support the slave owning Confederates who once fought the United States, and had their asses handed to them in a northern made basket. Courtesy: Down With Tyranny

(SALEM, Ore.) - Ted Nugent, 1970's Pop Music Hero: magnet for fans, rocked hard and apologized to nobody back in the day. Breaking the rules, shattering barriers; he absolutely stormed American radio with his radical yet mainstream sound.

Songs like Free for All and Cat Scratch Fever screamed to the top of the charts, making him a small fortune. That, after all, is the dream of so many in this red, white and blue rat race called America.

Maybe it is that Ted simply "grew up". After making millions performing this unapologetic hardcore acid rock music, he turned against marijuana, and redirected himself toward bow hunting.

Good old all-American stuff, many would say.

As this rocker got his head out of the clouds, he began increasingly becoming friends with members of America's Grand Old Party.

And as his right leaning anti-pot politics grew, so did Ted's desire to transform himself from 'The Wildman of Rock-n-Roll', into something else. The drive behind his musical creation apparently took an offramp years ago.

These days he shares the spotlight with media pundits like Sean Hannity, who stood up for Nugent when he really got edgy during the last Presidential election.

From an article I wrote 8 October 2007:
Nugent screams about a recent visit to Chicago, where he claims to have told Senator Barack Obama, "Hey, Obama! You might want to suck on one of these you punk!" Nugent adds, "Obama, he's a piece of s---, and I told him to suck on my machine gun. Let's hear it for him!"
In his remarks toward Clinton, Nugent told the audience that he addressed her by saying, "Hey, Hillary! You might want to ride one of these [guns]into the sunset, you worthless b----!"
Even the right wing itself has come down on Nugent for this one. A guest host for "The O'Reilly Factor" on FOX News, former Congressman John Kasich, reportedly told Nugent his comments were out of bounds. Kasich says the problem with politics today, is that it's "being ruined because people are being polarized because of the personal attacks and innuendos being labeled at people."

In the old days he was the guy who said the 'F' word a lot to our immense 14-year old delight.

He still tends to use plenty of four letter words as it turns out, you will learn that by watching the video included with this report, but the angle is very different.

He still looks pretty good, all these years later, this radical lead guitar player and singer has become a sound American businessman who obviously subscribes to the almost-national motto: "He who dies with the most toys wins."

I hear some of Ted's toys are out of this world.

But again, that is cool, even expected in some American circles, especially for the aspiring republican; they have what it takes to admit that for them, making money is more important than funding society's broken wayward masses.

Republicans like Ted Nugent are the people who really stand up for themselves, as people have the right to do in this nation. He has clearly benefited from his alliances with the deep pocketed set, and his constant lauding of his American pride is strong, it seems like he means it.

Yet critics suggest that there is almost a parade-like atmosphere accompanying Nugent's budding republicanism, and that he isn't really any kind of all-American at all. He's known to ruminate extemporaneously in Republican circles, espousing his views on what is right and definitely what is wrong in this world. His politics are as ultra-right as they could be. He likes war and speaks highly of the people who have been fighting the George W. Bush wars.

He gets a lot of mileage out of the patriotism thing, as many people do, but like his friends and cohorts in the GOP, he shares a background that includes the avoidance of honorable military service.

From crooksandliars.com:
"That Nugent, he's a man's man. He talks the talk and walks the walk, right? Except when it was time to register for the draft during the Vietnam era. By his own admission, Nugent stopped all forms of personal hygiene for a month and showed up for his draft board physical in pants caked with his own urine and feces, winning a deferment. Creative!"

Ted Nugent, Mr. Crappy Pants, really? Well I didn't know that part until I started looking around a little bit. It is a strange thing to learn and honestly, it does sound like the work of an extreme low life. I don't mean avoiding war so much as I mean the crappy pants part.

I included the video from a Ted Nugent fan and business partner, to show the businessman what this former Rock legend has become. I really have to stand back for this one. I am including the YouTube verbiage that is included with this video clip, spelling not corrected for the sake of authenticity.

"Ted Nugent Trying to negotiate prices to sign some autographs it all goes to charity Ted claims eventully ted brings down his prices and signs some stuff. Be sure to check out our awesome autographs for sale on ebay just copy paste this link to your browser for real autographs come to us we are actualy out there spending several hours oobtaining the rarest signatures"

If any goal exists, it is to reach the Nugent fans and make sure they understand that he's not grateful for their support, it is all just a big money game. I see the prices of those Ted Nugent signatures falling substantially in the future..

I'm not here to attack Ted Nugent. He is who he is. I am here to profusely thank Roger Waters for having Veldtschmerz-"world-pain". Commonly known as extreme empathy. Waters is a man who wants to remind ,like a good teacher- his followers and fans that Great Music can have Political Push- His inner battle between success and world pain drives his Brilliant Writing,Genius Level Metacognition, and Justifiable Ferocious Anger at Right Wing/Reactionary Political views that equate death with winning. He is a rare man who is willing to say that he hurts and he expresses himself more powerfully than any Progressive Rock Musician ever has or will. Waters is a study in contrasts, in other words a real man who is not swayed by opinion polls or debates. Waters thinks for himself;an admirably rare ability. Thanks Mr. Waters Ron Scott Sippel

Nugent is a joke..a half-rate guitarist at best who basically had ONE hit 35 years ago and now is some kind of neo-nazi right winger...I agree with anon...why even give this has-been any press? He is 25 years beyond being relevant...he is the Gary Coleman of the music world..used to be somebody, but that was a long, long time ago. He hunts deer in a fenced in compound he owns..I guess the odds have to be against the deer because his super-size ego would suffer if he didnt kill one when he set out to. Half-assed musician..half-assed American..half-assed human being.Waters and Gilmore are a hundred times the men this poser is or ever was...

Ted: Not a very good musician, but a great showman, seems he carries that same theme into his political arena. Somewhat messed up in the head I think. He avidly supports the Constitution, but supports the bush regime, that in my opinion, was the father of shredding the Constitution. And the likes of Hannity, an MSM sellout. And why would Ted be upset with obama? Obama is following bush's agenda almost perfectly! Ted's political views are all over the map. Cant believe Tim and I are even wasting our time speaking of the guy. Roger Waters of Pink Floyd however, an amazing musician and artist, and also understands the democratic and republican party are tools used for an overall agenda, and an avid supporter of Palestine, is a different story. Roger and David Gilmore just had a reunion after 10 years, to do a benefit for the Palestinians. I'll stick with Pink. :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moMnIdbf8cY
