Concerned Women for America: Sharing Hate Ideology with Westboro Baptist Church

Sharing a belief system; conservative Americans all too often bring more shame than good.

(SALEM, Ore.) - First of all, I question the idea of good parents wanting to see their kids serve in the military at all. It is a death sentence and every parent knows it, so what gives? Why rally for war as a concept?

A confused nation full of ignorance and pride and a willful disregard for right over wrong; that is America today, and in the midst of all of our pain and uncertainty, we discover that a prominent aspect of the Tea Party set; the Concerned Women for America, shares a same belief system with Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church, those dreaded hatemongers from Topeka- who regularly protest U.S. military funerals while stomping U.S. flags into the ground.

What is that shared mindset?

Hating gay people in the name of God, that's what. These neocons are so far from God, that they actually think rallying against a lifestyle is "the most important" concern, seriously.

The number one problem according to Concerned Women for America is allowing lgbts to openly serve in the military:

Report on the Westboro Baptist Church

"Liberals have spent decades targeting the United States military with their demands for radical social restructuring in favor of homosexuality. As it applies to the military, their social policy agenda trumps all other considerations: the goal is not a stronger or better-prepared military."

Their long lost cousins at the Westboro Baptist Church have the exact same set of thoughts.

The folks who brought you "GodHatesFags.com" should soon be forming new ranks with the Concerned Women for America.

I've seen the HBIC for the Westboro Baptist Church; I told her what I thought of her and I admit, I get sucked right into the hate mentality but for such different reasons.

Mothers for war, against being gay, when that would keep a kid out of the war, what sense does that make? I could care less what sexual orientation somebody I love is. I just know I want them alive and if they had to give their lives for a worthwhile cause, we are very low on national opportunities at this time.

The Westboro idiots say America is failing as a nation overall, because of the "acceptance" of gays in the military. The Concerned Women for America need to rethink their strategy, though I doubt it is possible. They are proof of the sharp contrast in this nation; proof of the healing that may never take place.

Here is what the Westboro Women for America (sorry) have to say:

Concerned Women for America (CWA) values the sacrifice of the millions of men and women who serve in the armed forces. Those service men and women and their families deserve our complete support in carrying out their mission. But today, many senators and representatives in Washington, D.C., have lost this simple focus, opting to support policies that make their jobs harder and, in many cases, actually harm their efforts to succeed in keeping America safe. The purpose of CWA's S.H.O.T. campaign is to send a clear message to our policy makers to "Stop Harming Our Troops!" Let them focus. And let them win!

This graphic is a perfect example of how low some so-called "family values" groups will stoop.

In this particular case the organization is the Concerned Women for America, no stranger to anti-lgbt graphics and cartoons no matter how vile.

But this one is especially vile:

An email circulating with information about this group states:

"Where do I start with this one? It's one thing to openly push homophobia, but it's another to market it on t-shirts and coffee mugs. T-shirts and coffee mugs? It's like selling charcoal black lawn jockeys.

"And that's not even saying about what the graphic represents. Lgbts want to serve openly in the military because we love our country too. We are not the enemy here and to imply us as such is just plain nasty.

"Concerned Women for America hints about the sacrifices of the millions of men and women who served in the Armed Forces. If the organization had any respect for those men and women (many of whom were lgbts) and their sacrifices, they wouldn't trivialize them with a such cynical ploy for money steeped in bad taste."

All I can do is agree. I have tangled with the Westboro Baptist Church folk and their hatefulness toward gay people is so thick you could cut it with a chainsaw. They have no place in the fabric of America; even if they are technically able to get away with their heinous behavior. I wonder if we will soon see these groups unite, they might as well. There is nothing patriotic about spreading hate, it is as anti-American as it gets.

Who is this new jesus character? Jesus loves fags,he loves whores ,he loves athiests ,he loves everyone. Or did I miss something? Love your enemies ,do unto others as you would have them do unto you .So these religous nutballs would acccept the same treatment if we said religion is wrong and they should be imprisoned ,discriminated against ect? Do good to those who hate you, heap coals of kindness upon thier heads . So they should show kindness and respect of people who dont share thier beliefs . I wish there was a god and these folks would have to stand before him . How could they defend sending thier children to kill, torture and be killed? Talk about abortion. How could they defend thier hate of others . How did you spend the gift of life knowing your actions are stamped in time for eternity ? I fought the good fight , I killed those who hate you in every way .I imprisoned the addicts ,I hated gays and encouraged others to do the same. I helped those in need to futher the cause only if I could teach them about god and santa claus . They say theres a god ,I say thats nice if we ever meet up I will thank him for life. I did some good and I've done some bad and if this magical space daddy is real on that I will stand. Sorry for the rhyme . But WTF . Forgiveness and eternal life has these folks all f*and^ed up . This is all you get folks you choose how you spend it . Im out .Peace

The WBC is telling it like it is ... Obama, Gates, and Mullin have turned the U.S. Military into the U.S. F@g Force. God will destroy any nation that tolerates homosexuality in its midst.

Tim  King: You guys always have your radar on don't you?  I think you know exactly jack squat about God and the only thing you should conclude, is that you are not a representative of his.  Funny you morons from the WBC would respond before your tea party buddies.  Maybe they're actually embarassed to realize how much their politics resemble yours.
