(VANCOUVER, B.C.) - Many Canadians think they are far removed from issues like human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Canada however, is a major port and hub for human trafficking.

Human trafficking is a well organized criminal activity that will demand that the general population take their stand against this injustice.

The Lord commands to “seek justice, encourage the oppressed, defend the orphan and plead the case of the widow” (Is. 1:17).

It’s seeing Jesus in the eyes of every single human being— including the precious children that are exploited on a daily basis, unaware of their immeasurable worth in God’s eyes.

This August I will be a part of a team of Canadians led by Tara Teng, Miss Canada 2011, who will be on mission igniting the road to justice.

Our purpose is to educate and to stir up participation to end human trafficking.

The team will partner with key organizations in each community holding events that provide opportunities to educate and be a catalyst to stimulate participation to fight human trafficking.

Our goal is to ignite a powerful, unified, grassroots movement that speaks up for the oppressed.

You can’t have a market for clientele if you don’t have clients. As this is a billion $$$ Smuggling industry, until you target and incarcerate those buying you’ll never stop those selling. Anybody sleaze-ball can sell however, you must have mucho-denary to buy. It’s just like the drug trade. Impossible to sell what no one is buying. Hello Edsel Ford.
