(SALEM, Ore.) - Last week Salem-News.com launched our new live Internet radio talk show that airs each weeknight from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM with hosts Cody Sheets and Tim King. Salem-News.com is working with the staff at blogtalkradio.com to bring this latest aspect of our multi media presence to our visitors, listeners, as we endeavor to always increase the information flow and interactivity.

Internet radio is an extremely good way for Salem-News.com to reach out and deliver information and ideas while allowing the call in aspect of interactivity. It goes further too, while you can enjoy the program by simply opening the Salem-News.com story that will always be at the top of the lineup in the latter half of the day, there is also an associated chat room and the ability to download the show after it has already aired.

If for any reason the show is canceled we will announce that in the news prior to 9:00 PM.

What are the subjects? They range greatly and go from the Presidential race and local politics, to things like war and international hunger and strife.

Tim King is Salem-News.com's primary reporter and war correspondent. Tim started Salem-News.com almost four years ago with veteran journalist Kevin Hays. The site powers news all day long and sometimes all night.

Tim traveled to Afghanistan to cover the war over the winter of 2006/07 for Salem-News.com and is preparing to go to Iraq in the coming weeks for more war coverage. He is one of those journalists who really has been there and done that and you can ask Tim any questions you have on your mind about covering the war and where our nation is heading with respect to the ongoing military conflicts overseas.

Cody Sheets is a student at Chemeketa Community College and he is the President of the school's Student Writer's Club. Cody recently joined the Salem-News staff to help cover the events related to our young adult visitors and also technology which he is no stranger to.

In fact, the implementation of the new Salem-News.com Talk Radio program is a result of Cody's research and ideas. Ban Gay Marriage February 7, 2008 9:57 pm (Pacific time)

Since the topic of Gay Marriage is coming up. Is it possible the leaders of the movement are also pedophiles? BOSTON — A top official in Gov. Deval Patrick's administration is accused of sexually assaulting a boy in the steam room of a Florida resort and has been placed on unpaid leave. McGee, 38, met the boy, who police said is between 12 and 16 years old, in a bathroom at the resort a day earlier where they engaged in small talk, according to the police report. McGee, who made $115,000 as a state employee, worked at Boston law firms before joining the administration. His marriage to John Finley IV in November 2005 was featured in The New York Times' Vows column. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,329747,00.html

Why did the show end at 10:15pm? I thought it was supposed to be 2 hrs?

Neal, we should be back to a regular schedule tomorrow night, look forward to hearing your voice there!

How about Al Gore supporting marriage equity for gays. As for circumcision decision 11 yr olds are considered as to their wants. Hardly evidence the intactivists want to try and fit it to. I would not expect their goal to happen in the US anytime in the next 50 years. As for the peterson woman case I still love that if she was not young, white or cute that we would never have seen anything about it. Hope that gives you something to chat about. Great show!
