Voter Apathy in America Unprecedented

2012- the year that everything changes...

U.S. President Barack Obama
U.S. President Barack Obama

(SALEM) - Something really did change in America after Barack Obama was elected, it is our simple ability to hope and have faith and believe in our national leaders.

Traveling this road of life, we've seen the final blowout of a tire packed with hot air known as "U.S. politics". People are growing wiser.

The last great hope, a guy with a name that seems drawn from those of America's (former) number two bad guys in the world; is walking irony and nothing but a blowout. I never imagined that we would all have to be faced with such a let down. He sure had us going last election didn't he?

So for all the people out there who still believe their vote counts, I would say you are right when it comes to local, and hopefully even state issues, but I don't expect any difference we could make on the executive level will be taking place without a drastically different arrangement.

This isn't a serious article, it is just something to make us think, and I suspect that many feel the same way, and agree that this will likely be the turning point for the faith of people who once believed they could really make a difference simply by entering the voting booth.

For the suffering masses, Obama's legacy is his unrelenting support of state terrorism including:

  • The relentless support of Israel and defense of the Jewish state's long list of war crimes;
  • Obama's failure to stand up against the murderous governments in Africa;
  • His failure to offer a voice for the besieged Tamil people of northern Sri Lanka who suffered a massive Genocide on his watch, possibly one hundred sixty thousand people slaughtered by Sri Lankan government forces; allies of the U.S.
  • For Americans, Obama and his AG Eric Holder will always be associated with the ATF weapons smuggling programs that delivered deadly arms into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
  • Americans who tried to demonstrate as part of Occupy Wall Street will always associate Obama with the violence inflicted on their unarmed ranks by police.
  • Of course the worst thing Obama did was sign the recent National Defense Authorization Act which allows the government to strip an American of their rights and to be detained without charges and held without ever being released.

It's a disappointing day in America, I suspect 2012 will be the year that everything changes forever...

You could not be more on-target Tim! We are on the cusp of entering a nightmarish Never-Never land where news once meant to keep people informed is tailored by much of the media. Rather than elucidate, it obfuscates. Pertinent facts are either glossed over or omitted. Facts that make the politician in question look good are published with a glowing halo surrounding them and facts that make that shed a negative light on that same politician are veiled, omitted, or collaged with meaningless drivel in such a way that at best, the reader leaves the article confused. I am happy to say that Salem-News works diligently at publishing all of the facts. The opinion pieces it publishes are clearly opinion pieces meant for individual consideration and are not published as fact. Sources are identified in articles published by Salem-News.com and every attempt is made to assure that all of the facts are published and that the reader has a real chance at making an informed decision. Thank you Tim and Bonnie for keeping at least one channel open where truth might prevail.

Tim have you seen any of those segments lately regarding "street interviews" of different subjects? Seems that people are just more concerned with local events rather than anything happening overseas. I saw one interview where they asked people to ID different people. A picture of both VP Biden and even JFK were not recognized by about half those quizzed. The Occupy movement has actually angered far more people than getting sympathizers as most polling shows. Not a lot of sympathy for those who break the law and attack cops, even those very rare times that police strike back. You have probably gotten to the point that what you think is important news just does not register with the majority. People are looking at the economy, the price of gas, and seeing leadership that is not performing, so yeah 2012 will be a bad year, maybe even WWIII will happen. You stop wars and domestic violence through no-nonsense accountability for bad behavior. When Iran threatens us with sinking our ships, they have no respect for weakness, and that is what Obama projects, as well as liberal mayors and governors. Obama just stopped the Canadian oil deal saying it needed more study. It has been studied for years. We have literally tens of thousands of miles of various pipelines carrying different petroleum products all over America. Now here we have a chance to create thousands of jobs while getting a needed energy source from an ally. No way can Obama continue in leadership, a truley evil individual along with his handlers, the zionists, and that is what they are.

Tim King: Always interesting, you are anti-Zionist and anti-Occupation, am I reading that correctly?  The Occupy camps haven't attacked cops, the evidence is thick, oozing across YouTube, it is a good thing to swallow the bitter pill of reality.

I sometimes wonder if people woke up too late. As a person who has been shouting this for over a decade, all I can do is hope its not too late, but the true reality? People are waking up too late. And they are going to wake up, only to experience a nightmare.
