Taliban comments come amid preparations by the NATO to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2014.

(KABUL Khaama Press) - The Taliban group in Afghanistan following a statement welcomed news from Washington that the US might withdraw all its troops from Afghanistan next year.

Taliban also said that the American public was pressing for an end to “this aimless war.”

This comes as Afghan president Hamid Karzai is on four day US visit and is expected to meet with the US president Barack Obama in White House on Friday to focus on how many American soldiers will remain in Afghanistan.

But the Taliban group in its statement said, “We appreciate this step of the American public and all those societies who pressurise their government in the issue of Afghanistan as to bring this aimless war to an end and to evacuate all their troops.”

The comments by the Taliban group come amid preparations by the NATO to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2014, however Washington will leave a force to train, advise and assist the Afghan army and police.

However US military officers privately said comments about a total withdrawal were primarily designed as a tactic in negotiations with Kabul over a security agreement, which includes immunity for American troops remaining behind.4

The U.S. military has already given Obama options under which as few as 6,000 or as many as 20,000 soldiers would remain in Afghanistan after 2014. Those forces would work as advisers to the Afghan army and mount special operations raids against the Taliban and al Qaeda.

Obama is a stupid, dangerous scatterbrain, with no clue how to run a country or a war. The “community organizer” in the White House thinks his socialist ideology and his Dhimmi approach are wonderful ideas. While he plays patty cake with the bad guys, they continue to attack American troops and NATO facilities. I cannot fathom great Generals like Patton, MacArthur, or McAuliffe tolerating this kind of chickenshit from a so-called “Commander-in-Chief”. A dicked up ROE, pussified, politically correct regulations, and portraying the enemy as less of an enemy isn't a war. It's a clusterfuck. But then, “victory isn’t necessarily the goal.” Trying to win the hearts and minds of a gutter culture stuck in the perverted philosophy of a 7th century Islamic zealot, won't stop them from jihad. Killing them will. We should be sending them to hell; not shaking their hands. The so-called partnership between American Soldiers and Afghan troops is an epic fail. The Taliban and Al Qaeda have infiltrated the Afghan forces and most certainly have influence in Karzai's regime. Obama's asinine announcement of complete troop withdrawal in 2014, has the Taliban giddy with anticipation. They can hardly wait. Not only do they get the benefit of knowing when we will leave Afghanistan, they get the green light to pick up where they left off before we invaded. You don't negotiate with the enemy, you annihilate them. You don't give them office space, you crush them to the point where they will never again have the ability to do harm. The whole point of going into Afghanistan was not just to get Bin Laden, (even though he escaped to Pakistan), but to defeat one of the enemies responsible for the 9/11 atrocities. They have not been defeated, they've been propped up by a SCOAMF who is totally incapable of making good decisions. Yep, the country's in good hands.
