'Ron Paul wishes Israel didn't exist'

Former senior aide to Republican presidential hopeful says that while Paul is not an anti-Semite, he believes Israel is 'more trouble than it's worth'

(WASHINGTON D.C. Y-Net) - Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul negates Israel's right to exist, Eric Dondero, who served senior aide to the 76-year-old congressman for over 12 years, said Monday.

In a blog posted in Rightwing News, Dondero said that while Paul was, in his opinion, neither a racist nor an anti-Semite, he is very much anti-Israel.

"I worked for the man for 12 years (and) I never heard a racist word expressed towards Blacks or Jews come out of his mouth… I can categorically say that I never heard anything out of his mouth, in hundreds of speeches I listened too over the years, that could be called, anti-Semite," he writes.

But according to Dondero, the elderly congressman "wishes the Israeli state did not exist at all."

The congressman's former aide insists in his blog that Paul expressed the controversial sentiment "numerous times in our private conversations."

Paul's view, he said, "is that Israel is more trouble than it is worth, specifically to the America taxpayer. He sides with the Palestinians, and supports their calls for the abolishment of the Jewish state, and the return of Israel, all of it, to the Arabs."

Following Dondero's statement, Executive Director of Republican Jewish Coalition Matthew Brooks said that the former senior aide's blog "simply confirmed what we already know – Paul is against the Jewish State of Israel."

Brooks had previously called Paul's views on Israel "misguided and extreme." He was also excluded for Republican presidential candidates' panel hosted by the Republican Jewish Coalition in November.

Kudos to everyone for their support of Ron Paul, the most refreshing candidate who would actually be a rea l president and not an agent of the banks and corporate/hedge fund monsters that are hell bent on destroying this country. This being said by me, yes a member of the tribe that reads the constitution and the bible and yes supports Mr.Paul. He is fair and balanced in his approached. He should not be labelled a racist or an anit-semite-we have had enough of that. Guess what folks....I am not bothered by an anti semitic remark at work-it is an opportunity to educate people not to report them to the HR department because they have expressed free speech! For those of you who do not like US support of Israle-that is your right to decided where your tax dollars are going and you should also not want four to five times that amount to be handed out to the other countries in the region which is also going on at the same time. Go Ron Paul

Fred you are incorrect, this is not a blog- it is a news group dumb ass, they cover war crimes and civil rights violations and the evidence has been stockpiled for years. Literally hundreds of articles and thousands of comments by Tim and Bonnie King and all their team, and always, consistently, only calls against the violent racism of Zionism and Israel's politicians.  My friend Casey says it is the single most important news site in the world and I agree.

Fred December 27, 2011 4:34 pm (Pacific time)

To all of the Israel and Jewish People haters on this blog. We love the Jewish people and
pray for Israel. Did you forget that your God was a Jewish man? Also you have the Salk
Polio Vaccine in your body. Salk was a Jewish doctor. If you still dislike Jewish people please
do not listen or sing White Christmas, Easter Parade and the patriotic song God Bless America as they
were written by Irving Berlin a Jewish composer.  I cannot understand how some people can hate the Jewish People and then go bow down and worship Jesus who was a Jew on Sunday. Go figure!

Tim King: Fred, to you and all of your Christian-hating friends, all I can say is that we love the Jewish people too.  You are sadly a pathetic liar of course, because not a single word on Salem-News.com will or has ever reflected your bigoted views.  We are against human rights violations, we are against war crimes, we are against apartheid, we are against the military aggression of Israel, we are against the sickening greedy ongoing theft of land, we hate the way the ultra-Orthodox weirdos hassle little Jewish girls in second grade trying to walk to school, calling them "whore" for not dressing immodestly enough.  That is EXACTLY the same thing as Sharia Law which is insulted and distorted in media reports all day long.  I'm sorry you hate me because I'm American, and I lament the fact that you hate the U.S. Marine Corps, I am sorry that you hate people who were born in California.  I make as much sense and my points contain as much credibility as yours.  There are amazing and exceptional people who were and are Jewish, of course, why is that even a point?  What about that matters when it comes to the critical view on Israel's separate roads for Jews and non-Jews?  How about the laws in Israel dating to 1951 that absolutely and completely governs and regulates and sentences Jews and non-Jews under totally separate guidelines.  My advice is get over yourself, you act like a baby when you write bullsh*t like this, and it defines you.  Now, as for God being Jewish, do you mean Christ?  You don't make sense, God help us all.

RUN RON, RUUUUUUNNNN!!! Kick the Anglo-American Establishment (Royal Institute for Int'l Affair, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Skull and Bones, freemasonry [in all its diabolical incarnations] collective ARSES!!! The TRUTH will set us free.

Fred December 27, 2011 10:37 am (Pacific time)

Every time Israel defends itself it gets blamed.

Editor: Did you mean "kills a baby" instead of "defends itself"?

Ynet published this citing Eric Dondero, a former Ron Paul aide. Then it gets picked up by other websites and blogs and takes on a life of its own. Please look closely at the websites and blogs who are passing this around. Ron Paul's spokesperson Jesse Benton responded to the blog post, saying: "Eric Dondero is a disgruntled former staffer who was fired for performance issues." "He has zero credibility and should not be taken seriously," CBS news quoted Benton as saying. Here is what Paul has said about Israel: Paul, responding to President Obama's speech in May about the U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, had stated that "Israel is our close friend." "Unlike this President, I do not believe it is our place to dictate how Israel runs her affairs. There can only be peace in the region if those sides work out their differences among one another. We should respect Israel's sovereignty and not try to dictate her policy from Washington." I am not a Ron Paul fan, but look carefully at who is saying what. By the way, Ynet is the most popular Israeli news and general content website.

Ron Paul's stance is to support Israel as an independent nation. Israel has an excellent military and is fully capable of defending herself. We should not be her boss telling her what to do and what not to do. Israel needs to make her own decisions. We should treat all countries equally and fairly.

I want to thank Mark and the Reverend for their comments. Mark, standing up to the false flag of 911 is so important. Some are upset at Dr. Paul for not speaking out about 911, but I think Ron is making the right choice at this time. Know which battles to fight etc. If you all dont mind, if you are in a spiritual mood :-) please pray for Ron Paul..I am serious here, they will kill him. Keep Ron Paul in your prayers. There is no time anymore for acorn, democrats, republicans, tea party etc. With all the confusion and differnt points of view, what we NEED is honesty. More than anything, we need honesty. We can deal with political parties afterwards..This is why I support Ron Paul, because we need honesty first.

Elsewhere December 26, 2011 4:38 pm (Pacific time)

Oh please, please, please make Ron Paul President, even us in the UK can see he's your only hope.

Amanda Black December 26, 2011 4:31 pm (Pacific time)

Being thorougly disgusted with US politics, I have not spent much time on Ron Paul. But - if he said - that Israel is not worth the trouble we are experiencing, he is right - and has my appeoval. Stop the insane support of the Zionist regime, we should not be their puppets.

Reverend Donoghue December 26, 2011 3:12 pm (Pacific time)

We need to all love each other, but not turn a blind eye to how the Israelis are treating their Goyim slaves.

Mark December 26, 2011 3:11 pm (Pacific time)

Newt loves illegals (amnesty) more than Americans (Newt wants to bring back child labor for US kids). Mitt thinks corporations are people (killing his general election chances). Ron Paul is the only candidate with a plan to end the TSA and end the endless wars for Israel, it all started a decade ago after a false flag attack. 9/11, US and Israel: http://www.amazon.com/America-Deceived-II-Possession-interrogation/dp/1450257437

So salem-news you don't like tit for tat? The below is...

Editor: Tit for tat?  You called us Anti-Semite  in the second paragraph, your vile posts aren't necessary, no reason to even consider posting them.  If at some point you make a comment based in reality, not bullsh*t, then we will carry it.  You're right in thinking we are against the illegal behavior of war crime states like Israel, along with so many good people in Israel who are trying to bring change from within.

Great news in my opinion, it will the first time in 60 years the US's needs will come before Israel.

According to dondaro..lol, now thats a really confirmed source...dear lord.. The fact is, I dont even care what the future brings..For today, the neocons, the democrats, the GOP, the mainsream media..they are all pissing their pants right now..Thats all I need..What a great Christmas!!! Thank you Ron Paul!!! You gave me the best Christmas present ever.. :-) The real story here is that with the entire corporate media dedicated to destroying Ron Paul's anti-war message, a 20 year old newsletter and a pissed off fired former staffer is all they could find. No other candidate could survive such scrutiny with so few results. The corporate media are crapping their pants that they cannot trick the public into choosing a "pre-approved" candidate, and absent that ability, the good times are over. Money-junkies don't have much loyalty to a media suddenly unable to fool the public.

DDearborn December 26, 2011 2:01 pm (Pacific time)

Hmmm

Fans of Israel are scared of Ron Paul because what he has always said is that America must put Americans and America first not Israel. He has NEVER ever even suggested that he wished Israel "didn't exist". That statement is a flat out lie and the idea that you would print such garbage merely reinforces the fact that Israeli interests control the US media. And also that they have absolutely no problem lying to get their way. This article is a perfect example.

Editor: Why don't you calm down a little, this is a Y-Net story and it is important to share with our readers exactly what the Israeli media is saying, look at our other reports, figure out who we are, fear not Salem-News..com.
