Rhinoceros is Unique

When The Almighty creates a uniqueness found only in you, no army in the world can defeat that mighty number of two.

(CLEVELAND) - The Rhino is unique from other animals you’ve seen or heard,
And that unique characteristic is, they cannot move backward,
Furthermore, their peripheral vision is as good as being blind,
So, Rhino’s always move forward with only one thing in mind.

A trial, storm, in the heat of battle, where does your focus lie?
On the negative, fear, doubt and always aligned with an alibi?
Excuses, as unbelief has turned forward progress into retreat,
Because, that confession with your mouth moves to your feet.

Peter’s walking on water the wind blew & waves began to rise,
He began to sink after changing his focus via wandering eyes,
Deuteronomy 20:8; going into battle do not allow to come near,
Any that’s fainthearted lest your heart becomes filled with fear.

A Lion, yes the King of the Jungle needs help from the Pride,
One on one attack & the Rhino will be the only one left alive,
When The Almighty creates a uniqueness found only in you,
No army in the world can defeat that mighty number of two.

1st John 4:4, “greater is he in me…” now you are never alone,
So, let the faithful go forward, while sending the fearful home,
Judges chapter 7, Gideon assembled an army of 32,000 men,
31,700 failed the tests and with 300 Gideon obtained the win.

Still victorious, 300 vs. 135,000 Midianites what are the odds?
Greater because Luke 1:37, “nothing is impossible with God,”
Ephesians 6:10-18, “put on the whole armor…” & for the back?
Nada! Soldiers don’t go in the opposite direction of an attack.

Bad enough to align with folk, who never grow yet even worse,
It is hanging around those who are always traveling in reverse,
There’s never enough energy to push, as the mind is also weak,
Associate with likeminded people as the, "Rhinoceros Is Unique."

Luke Easter is a poet who writes about things that are very close to the heart of Salem-News.com. Another former U.S. Marine, Luke heals the world with an approach that reaches people on a different level, one known for centuries, yet too often forgotten in the one we live in.

We live in a world of social & economic injustice. The main reason for founding America in the first place was to relieve the oppression of the King of England. Patrick Henry said it best, “give me liberty or give me death.” And yet, all too often death seems to be the only way out. Why is there such a high suicide rate especially among teens, in the land of the free & the home of the brave? What makes headlines? Good news? Ha! More depressing stories than anything else. I feel poetry takes an edge off the hurt of bad news while still delivering it but in a, “glitzy” sort of way. Giving a different perspective. Kind of like slap in the face as opposed to a knife in the back. At least with the slap you’ll live to see another day and you will know whom it’s from. I wasn’t here for the beginning of the world but at 59, I just might be here for the end.

Even though it’s still a knife, rhyme poetry helps to dull the blade. And that’s my job. You can write to Luke Easter at: lyricsfromlucas@aol.com
