Homicide Investigation Underway at Home in Northeast Salem

Police have identified the victim as 38-year-old Michael Zeeb, of Salem.

(SALEM) - Shortly before 10:30 PM on Wednesday, Marion County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 4783 38th Ave NE in northeast Salem on a report of gunshots being fired.

When they arrived they found that one adult male had been shot in the head sheriff's spokesman Kevin Rau said.

Medics transported him to Salem Hospital where he died at about 12:15 AM this morning at Salem Hospital Rau said.

There were others at the home at the time of this incident.

The deceased man was the only person injured.

At this hour detectives are on scene and are investigating.
