New song A Beautiful Hope by Agron Belica, produced by Open Minds Entertainment hits the SoundClick.com charts at #1 in Pop/Pop-Rock signed artists.

(BOSTON / SALEM) - The Chinese say that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Assuming that the steps and miles are equivalent to the classical Roman mile, activist Tim King and his team are rightly celebrating the 20,000th step, or the twentieth Roman mile, on that almost endless journey in their campaign against all forms of injustice, political, economic, and social bullying, oppression, and crime against humanity. Of course, the ‘steps” are metaphorical and the number actually refers to the publication of the 20,000th article in the Salem-News since their journey was commenced seven years ago; itself an impressive record.

There is still plenty of work for them in the future as they are yet a long way from that elusive goal: a world of perfect justice.

As we humans are imperfect by nature, we are probably genetically incapable of achieving such perfection, but that is no reason for us not to try. Surely, mankind can produce something better than our current moral impasse.

The remarkable audacity of the 20,000th article itself bespeaks the mission which Tim King and his team have undertaken: nothing less than literally beating their “swords into ploughshares,” as Isaiah puts it.

In this case, it is the idea—the Big Idea—of converting warships into peaceships, waging peace throughout the world. We are already accustomed to hospital ships; why not peaceships?

It is an idea whose time has come.

Adding to the celebration of this milestone in the war of Salem-News.com against war, writer, singer, and composer Agron Belica has specially written a new song dedicated to Tim King, his team, and to the ideals they represent: A Beautiful Hope.

A signed artist under two record labels, Belica’s song is already at No.1 in the country on the soundclick.com charts, under Pop/Pop-Rock. It was inspired by his own dedication to the ideals and goals of “the good guys” at Salem-News.Com.

Congratulations on a job well done to Tim King and the Salem-News crew and to Agron for the success of his new song, with the expectation of more of the same to come from all parties in the future.

The Big Idea is now out there. Let us hope and pray it succeeds, for its success will make a difference to blighted lives throughout the world and perhaps inspire imitators to embark upon the same mission: a war against war, injustice, and oppression. Wa salam!
