Islamic Radio and Television Union Summit Ends With Celebration of Great Film Director Majid Majidi

Nine journalists killed last year were also given special recognition.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Islamic Radio and Television Union summit (PBUH) radio and television meeting which recently concluded, introduced superior products and gave appreciation of various media from Islam, as well as a celebration of Majid Majidi, the great film director of "Muhammad". That took place Tuesday in the Conference Center of IRIB. Majid Majidi recently ended his television career.

Mr. Ali Karimiyan, at the closing ceremony of the meeting, said discussions had been held regarding the "prophet of mercy, resistance media mission", according to the news headquarters of the Eighth General Assembly of the Islamic Radio and Television Union.

Mr. Karimiyan said that, "God willing, next year there will be a strong focus on the mission, rather than to introduce the real Islam and provide Gentle face of the Prophet (PBUH) and identify the plots of enemies and deal with global arrogance map to find success."

Regarding the flagship programs of the eighth summit meeting, Grand Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei raised a very important material point. He said, "prismatic leadership speech is fundamental to our media activities so we constitute a Committee in Union that their statements to the Secretariat are to be used to develop media strategies."

He added that the main mission of the Islamic media is the fight against the oppressors and defending the oppressed, adding that "all of us are ready to get killed in this way, this promises to families of martyrs that we remain consistent in this path."

Majid Majidi, the director of Muhammad (PBUH), was greatly appreciated during the event for his valuable work. Majid Majidi said that "we must try in recognition of the Prophet and introduce their characters in this regard, all of Muslim countries must try."

He said that some media have tried to say that the Shiites, with the film Muhammad, are trying to offer their own interpretation of Islam. He said the script of this work is factual, adding that he also takes advantage of the most important Sunni scholars.

He stressed the importance of meetings with Sunnis; recently, one of Turkey's famous scholars who saw the film, said Muhammad can light the way for the Islamic world and fill the knowledge gap of Muslim adolescents and young people.

Majidi said that he believe the Muhammad film could be the unity of the Islamic nations, adding that rumors he heard of Al-Azhar and Islamic centers, that show the face of the Prophet, are not true, adding that, "we don’t let the face of prophet show, we don't play with feelings of Muslims."

The Secretary General of the Islamic Radio and Television Union thanked all of the participants in the meeting.

Nine journalists were killed last year in clashes in the area of the summit, a bleak reminder of the trying times. He said the families of martyrs are our cause, and the families of martyrs are a great blessing.

During the ceremony, the families of martyrs Ali Rshn, Hussein Fadel Hassan and Ali Qasim of Al-Ahed Iraq network, Ali Ansari of Alqdir network in Iraq, Hassan Abdullah Al-Manar Lebanese, Khaled Alvshly of Almsyrh network, Fazl Mrtjy and Same Aloryan of Al-Aqsa TV, and martyr Srnashym of Press TV were celebrated.

The winners in the radio documentary category were "I am a student of Dari Iranian" in radio drama, and radio program "Infeasible may be impossible" of Qom radio center.

The issue of excommunication in radio also effects the almusl of the alforat Radio in Iraq, in combination part Journal ray alaam radio, talk radio host Khndaq Alklmh in alkosar radio of Iraq, and in news radio, Aljvlh Alakhbaryh Almsayyh, News of alnour Radio of Lebanon.

The television documentary subjects included The Woolen Doll of Ezatollah Parvaz, Constructed Bridge by Amir Hossein norouzi, in documentary movie, Palestinian Embassy by Enam Alhefady of Lebanon, in combination with Nortu of al-Manar programs.

The dialogue-driven part noted Sabah Palestine programs of Al-Youm Palestine Network, Imported Mercenaries documentary directed by Ehsan Rajabi, “ISIS”, New name for an old story documentary by Hanif Rod from Press TV, and Martyr Muhammad Baqir with al-Sadr in Iraq network received a special Festival award.

The best TV drama movie was Alyasmyn Door of the Lebanese Al-Manar TV; a Special Award was given for dramatic film Almdfvn Secret of Ali Ghaffari; two reports, Seyed Morteza, almusvi of Alqadir Iraq and Samir Al-Mousa of Almsyrh network Yemen.

In the animation category, the animated story "Samarra" story by Hussain Sultan of Iran was a winner, and in the category for children and adolescents, "Atal Matal" by Mustafa Mahmoud was recognized.

Superior Effects award was given to Lebanon's Al-Manar TV signal networking site.

Balal Arur of Lebanon Beirut center, and Darius Dalvand, of the Arya industry of Iran, stand as the two top booths were honored at the Islamic Film Market. In the event of network Almsyrh was celebrated due to fair and honest Informing.

Mr. Karimiyan was honored by the network of Afghan civilization and the Islamic World Elite Media Man title, was bestowed upon him.
