Aug-01-2011 21:05TweetFollow @OregonNews Russia's Putin Calls U.S. 'a Parasite' on World EconomyPolitical Perspective by Tim King Salem-News.comYou look around this country and tell me what you see.
(SALEM, Ore.) - Vladimir Putin says the United States is feeding on the world economy like a "parasite". In an AFP article, Russia's Prime Minister stated that the world is facing serious economic pressure because Americans built up an unsustainable debt that threatens the entire global financial system. “The country is living in debt. It is not living within its means, shifting the weight of responsibility on other countries and in a way acting as a parasite,” Putin said. The US officially hit its debt ceiling on 16 May, with the prospect of a default threatening to increase interest rates, devalue the dollar, and jolt economies across the world. Washington owes about 47 percent of the money to foreigners. The biggest creditors are China, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The movie has begun, and the double feature 'America' is now nearing its end. While some presidents in the past had problems, they also had reasonable tendencies and claims of fame that are remarkable and significant. Obama never had a chance, he was handed a country that was specifically targeted by the Republican party whose members quite frankly, are not bright or flexible enough to comprehend how their spare the rich, harangue the immigrant, and persecute the gay man and the pot smoking hippie lifestyle, has really impacted things. They are the allies of the anarchists and they don't realize that part either. Destroying the middle class has bred crime and the years of the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) importing drugs from South America and selling them on our streets, led to the gutting of U.S. cities like Detroit, today the city of $100 houses, (all missing metal window frames and wiring because the crackheads sell that stuff). That's just one tiny example. You look around this country and tell me what you see. And even then, as we have learned from years of researching and reporting the contamination of U.S. military bases and the related affects among Veterans, we know it is what we can't see that kills us, it always is. Sometimes it is a Mack truck running a stop sign and sometimes it is the vapors we once breathed while refueling Marine Corps jets. It is all out of control, and companies like Monsanto and DuPont are the devil's arms of operation. There is a popular point made frequently by people I have great respect for, that the two parties are very much the same and in many ways, almost countless ways, that is true. But there is a difference and it is a significant one. Call it the lesser of the evils, but the America that is getting ready go strike the proverbial iceberg is steered mostly by the money people, and I defy you to show me a Democrat on Wall Street, point taken? They're the same and Chevy and Ford cars are a lot the same, yet they're not. They travel the same roads but they have different engines. Anyway, I too am disgusted by members of both parties and sometimes I see or meet Republicans who are a total exception to the rule in this case, but the day of the moderate Republican is long behind us I'm afraid. The two party system itself is one that seems to have a timer of sorts installed, and to avoid the alarm a much different approach was needed. And as far as American history goes, it isn't very good really. There were times: defeating our own evil in the Civil War, that was pretty cool, and freeing the Jews and others from the Holocaust with our allies, and... But can I ever tell you the dark stuff, where Americans have been the genuine 'bad guy' time and time again, particularly while orchestrating the overthrows and sometimes violent bloody hostile government takeovers of 45 Central and South American governments in a 50-year span following WWII. The way Iran has always been treated is sinful and if we could have simply known from the beginning that we don't have to force our way everywhere we go, forcing humans and violating human rights along the way, everything would be do different. Then there are up to a million and a half people in Iraq who the Americans have killed, for no reason at all. Afghanistan, Libya now, the Africa U.S. military theater, there is no end to the reach of the U.S. military and industrial complex. We have become who people in the world most fear. So I'm pretty negative about all of this, sure, I've been watching it like everyone else as it draws closer and closer. Fortunately those of us who don't have much to begin with are far less impacted than those who have been running amok on high credit limits and mortgages. I don't think a Russian leader has said anything that spicy for a long, long time. It is part of the sliding scale of indifference that this country has been fostering for a long time. Press TV reports that the Russian prime minister censured the United States' foreign exchange policy and stated that the world should begin using reserve currencies other than the dollar for trade and savings. “If the US encounters a systemic malfunction, this affects everyone,” Putin noted, adding, “There should be other reserve currencies.” Putin said that the debt deal announced by Obama “was not that great overall because it simply delayed the adoption of a more systemic solution.” As most people here know, the final agreement came after interminable wrangling on Capitol Hill that used up the period of time the country would need to lift the debt limit to avoid a default on its staggering $14.3 trillion debt. Welcome to your world today. Four million dollars a day in U.S. taxpayer support is handed directly across to Israel, which in turn maintains an apartheid government with a documented history of human rights abuse that is constantly off the charts. Obama ignored the Sri Lanka Genocide in 2009, and Bush set the stage to it prior to that by designating the oppressed group as 'terrorists'. This allowed the Genocide of possibly over 100,000 people. And while that goes on, the Mexican drug cartels are fortifying their border with the U.S. while the Americans fight some regurgitated version of the Crusades in the Middle east. It's the most mixed up mess I've ever heard of and it isn't like there haven't been voices of reason along the way, they have been here but drowned out by the likes of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc. There you go, we made our bed and we get to sleep in it. Special thanks to AFP and Press TV for information in this report.

Putin's administration kills 30-40 journalists every year in Russia. The opposition is not free to speak. He is building an authoritarian state in his country and tries to do that in countries around Russia. Antiamericanism is what he thrives on in Russia. Only a full can believe in what Putin says about the United States.I wish you Tim were an journalist in Russia during Putin's years.
Tim King: To be clear Nat, I am no Putin fan, not at all. I just found the whole thing damned interesting, that's all.

The time is getting near when Americans will learn two things:
1. they can't have everything and
2. they don't own the world.

I cannot argue with either you or Vladimir Putin Tim. We have become a wart on the ass of the world. Greed and corruption prevail and ignorance is (temporarily) bliss!
After seeing the joke of a debate regarding raising the debt ceiling and the pitiful result of that poorly orchestrated stage-play, all I can do is to hope and pray that every single incumbent is tossed out the door in 2012. I know you believe that the Democrats are the lesser of the evils but you still hang your hopes on the belief that the parties that control the corrupt vermin that hold elected office in the U.S. are somewhat honest. I am sorry but I have seen too much to believe that any longer. Until I see a party scream for a true, honest, and complete audit of the Federal Reserve, I will have faith only in turning every election into a revolving door. Do not allow them tenure. Do not allow them sufficient time to rebuild the strong channels of corruption they currently enjoy. If this does not happen in 2012, you can probably count the time the U.S. has left on your fingers and toes. When the huge mega-banks no longer control our currency and debt levels, we may have a hope. When our currency is based on something of value rather that the faith and trust of a corrupt government, we may have a chance. With the Federal Reserve calling the shots, our days are numbered. Do you remember Greenspan saying that the market was experiencing irrational exuberance and then lowering the interest rate to stimulate the market further? That says something. Clinton was not in control, Bush was not in control, and Obama is not in control . . . the Federal Reserve is in control and has been since the LBJ administration!
My grandmother used to say "God bless America . . . Land of milk and honey". About all I can say now is "May God have mercy on America" . . . Land of the snowjob and Shellgame."
Tim King: Thanks Colli
