"I sincerely hope that you will serve as a watchdog to protect the rights of the U.S. citizen, regardless of the fact that you happen to be of the same political party."

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - Dear Senator Jeanne Shaheen: I to am vehemently against any federal "control over" or "taxing of" Internet Activity. It certainly seems that the current administration works harder at finding ways to interfere with, meddle in, or otherwise attempt to bastardize the constitution.

If it isn't the second amendment the Obama Administration is looking to compromise, it is the first amendment by back-door approaches like this, or the fourth amendment with illegal searches via the drones the President wants to use against American citizens.

If he is not attempting to bastardize our constitution, he is looking for ways to interfere with interstate commerce. I have never seen nor would I have believed that the U.S. Senate would stand by and allow the executive branch to so blatantly overstep their bounds again and again.

Madam Senator, you know as well as I do that what President Obama is attempting will do permanent and grievous harm to our state and country. It is no wonder our country is still trying to work through the longest recovery after a recession I have seen in my 66 years.

I sincerely hope that you will serve as a watchdog to protect the rights of the U.S. citizen, regardless of the fact that you happen to be of the same political party. Respectfully yours, Robert M. Collinsworth

Salem-News.com admittedly, is very critical of both American politics, as well as those of other nations that we perceive is being wrong in their motives and actions. At the same time, within these structures we criticize, are many outstanding people who make each day a better place for all those around them. They embody and personify the American spirit that is sometimes fleeting, but always present. These are some of the things Robert takes into account when writing commentary that is designed reach people, to "get them thinking" in his words, and indeed it does. Salem-News.com's goal is for all people to be on the same page, we appreciate Bob's more conservative approach toward that same goal."
