(SALEM, Ore.) - KSLM-TV, the Salem area's newest television station, is pleased to announce it has reached an affiliation agreement with Retro Television Network, RTN.

"Affiliation with RTN will provide quality of entertainment programming for the local television viewer – programming not available on any other broadcast stations," says the station's Ken Lewetag.

"KSLM-TV & RTN has programs the whole family can watch together."

These include classic television hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s such as The A Team, Magnum PI, Battlestar Galactica, Adam 12, Knight Rider, The Rockford Files, Marcus Welby M.D, and many more. (go to kslmtv.com for more information)

KSLM's Mike Mattson says RTN has some of the best programming available as a foundation for the growth of KSLM-TV.

"It will provide local viewers not only a way to be entertained, but also a way to find out about local events and business at the same time," Mattson said.

KSLM-TV is free to over-the-air viewers, and can be seen on DTV channel 17-2. KSLM-TV-TV is currently on many cable systems in the area or soon will be (cable viewers need to contact their cable system if KSLM-TV is not on their system already to see the status of adding KSLM-TV) in addition KSLM-TV will be adding in the near future several new transmitter facilities expanding viewership.

KSLM-TV is locally owned and operated by Northwest Television, LLC. (NWTV). Northwest Television also operates KWVT, DTV channel 17-1, as well as several other stations in Oregon and Washington.

Why would anyone with any sense of morality and enduring family values ever watch any one of those three-named by Anon ? Failure to own his own comment is proof of that particular insensitivity, on this open, honest, democratic channel without any possible fear of "retaliation" or other malign mischief.

I am part of the paying public and i never watch rush , hannity or beck , why would anyone .I would much rather watch classic tv than a loud mouth recovering alcoholic or pill freak .

There's a link in the article to the stations website. This looks like a blast - thanks for posting the info. I don't watch many current tv shows due to concerns about suitability for the family. I will tune in to this station. Black Sheep Squadron?! bring it on.

Do they carry Rush, Hannity or Beck? If not, what do they carry as programming that the paying public would be interested in?

Editor: I don't know if any of those are part of it, I think it is mostly nostalgic, family oriented shows from the 60's and later.  I'll be dialing in to get more familiar.  At this point it is absolutely free to those who use an antenna.
