Cold Case Homicide Detectives Arrest 48-Year-Old Man for 1995 Southeast Portland Homicide

Danny Conner was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on two counts of Murder.

(PORTLAND) - Today, Tuesday April 22, 2014, Portland Police Bureau Cold Case Homicide detectives arrested a 48-year-old man in connection with a 1995 homicide that occurred in Southeast Portland.

Danny Conner was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on two counts of Murder. He will be arraigned on Wednesday.

This investigation started on December 20, 1995, at approximately 7:20 a.m., when 24-year-old Darrin Ezell was killed while sleeping inside his home, located in the 9300 block of Southeast Ramona Street. Two children were in the home at the time of the homicide but were not harmed.

Very few details about the homicide investigation can be released at this time as the case is still an active investigation.

The Cold Case Homicide Unit reviews unsolved murders in the Portland area and, since its inception in 2004, has reviewed approximately 250 homicide cases and solved more than 40.

The Portland Police Bureau Cold Case Homicide Unit is comprised of a Sergeant and three Detectives who are assisted by several retired investigators who volunteer their time to assist in solving cases.

The Portland Police Bureau Cold Case Homicide Unit has a close partnership with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office and the Oregon State Police Crime Lab.
