(Monmouth, Oregon) - Daniel Dillard went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and six runs driven in to lead Western Oregon to a 12-1 win in the opener of a four-game set against Montana State Billings. Dillard's performance backed the start of Michael Ward, who pitched the first seven runs for the Wolves without allowing a run and giving up just five hits. He also struck out eight and walked just two. Western Oregon jumped out to an early lead with one in the first and three more in the second to back Ward's strong start.
