18-Year Old Male Pulled from the Molalla River and Airlifted to OHSU

The victim was airlifted by Lifeflight to OHSU. He was listed as serious but stable by Paramedics.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Oregon river Canby Fire was dispatched to an unknown medical incident on S. Railroad, in the City of Barlow, today at approximately 3:39 p.m.

Information given to rescuers enroute advised that an 18-year old male had been pulled from the Molalla River, and was being transported via ATV to the listed address, which was approximately 1/4 mile from where the situation occurred, according to Canby Fire Spokesman Troy Buzalski.

Canby Family Roused From Sleep by Raging Fire

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Fire in Canby, Oregon 7-8-09 A Canby family awoke to the sound of a raging fire and a smoke alarm this morning just after midnight.

"They looked out the window to find there storage shed fully involved in fire no more then a few feet from there home," Deputy Fire Marshal Todd Gary said.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Police shooting update The Clackamas County District Attorneys Office says a Grand Jury has exonerated two Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies involved in the fatal shooting of a 68-year old Canby man March 4th.

Clackamas County Deputy District Attorney, John Wentworth, says Clackamas Deputy Brian Lister and Deputy Jesse Ashby, were cleared of any criminal wrong doing in the fatal shooting of 68-year old Hubert Henkel.

Changes at a local pond expand opportunities for kids to learn fishing techniques.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Grandpas and granddaughters fishing Oregon Fish & Wildlife brought a truckload of trout to the Canby pond Monday, March 16th, 2009. This delivery starts off the Spring hatchery trout fishery here, while launching some new, noticeable regulations.

Yellow ODFW signs inform anglers that the pond is now for the use of youth who are 17 and younger, and holders of any one of Oregons handicapped fishing permits.

Man Killed by Deputies Serving Marijuana-Related Warrant Identified

A warrant for pot charges served at 10:30 p.m. on the rural Mulino home of two senior citizens led to the police shooting of one.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Location of Canby police shooting Three days have passed since a man was shot to death by deputies in Canby over marijuana related arrest warrants.

He has been identified as 68-year old Hubert Henkel.

Hawk Struck by Vehicle on Freeway

The raptor was extricated and taken to the Audubon Society for treatment.

(CANBY, Ore.) - Injured hawk An Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife trooper and Milwaukie-area man worked together to rescue a hawk that was lodged in the front section of the man's sport utility vehicle after it was struck Wednesday morning on Interstate 5.

"The hawk was transported by the trooper to the Audubon Society of Portland to be examined for its injuries," OSP Spokesman Lt. Gregg Hastings said.
