Vietnam`s Bloody Defeat of China

Flashback in time to a war most Americans aren't familiar with.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Chinese female soldiers in the Sino-Vietnam War China lost a significant war in 1979 against Vietnam, though many people in the west do not realize this important history.

The Vietnamese attacked and defeated the genocidal Khmer Rouge in Cambodia after the U.S. war ended in the mid-1970's. For this China invaded Vietnam, only to lose and retreat after 29 days, ultimately abandoning their military aggression.

Update on Pirate Activity in Somalia, Gulf of Aden & Indian Ocean

(NAIROBI, Kenya) - Navy presence fighting pirates Today, 24. October 2010, at least 27 foreign vessels plus one barge are still kept in Somali hands against the will of their owners.

This includes at least 485 hostages or captives - among them an elderly British yachting couple and the 5 new hostages from Somaliland. They all await their release.

Lebanon`s Palestinian Civil Rights Campaign moves into the Christian Heartland

Civil rights for Lebanon’s Palestinian refugees have been denied for too long.

(SHATILLA REFUGEE CAMP, Beirut) - Religious leaders who signed open letter calling all to join the civil rights struggle in the Middle east and ultimately, peace. Not even one work permit has been issued to one Palestinian in Lebanon since the 2010 “right to work” law passed in Parliament.

Even though Palestinians are still forbidden from owning a home, the cause of Palestine Civil Rights in Lebanon endures.

Vatican Calls for End of Israeli Occupation of Arab Lands

Thousands of families of all faiths lived in the Holy land prior to the establishment of Israel in the late 1940's.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Cardinal John Patrick Foley Awareness of Israel's ongoing aggressions against the native population of Palestine has led to a demand from the Vatican in Rome, that Israel accept U.N. resolutions and end its unlawful occupation of Arab lands.

The bishops are telling the Jewish state that it shouldn't use the Bible to justify "injustices"- viewed as genocide by a widening population, against the Palestinian people.
