GOP Solution for Deficits - Cut Social Safety Nets!
Ralph E. Stone, Salem-News.com
The GOP tax “overall” made no attempt to eliminate the deficit, much less the debt.
(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) -
The deficits have risen to $779 billion in 2018, up from $666 billion in 2017.

At around 8:30 p.m. on November 2, 1988, a maliciously clever program was unleashed on the Internet from a computer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Mass Murder and American History
Robert C. Koehler special to Salem-News.com
“Screw your optics, I’m going in.”
(SALEM, Ore.) -
This is bigger than hate, this latest mass shooting, last weekend, at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, in which, oh my God, 11 more innocent souls died at the hands of a home-grown terrorist.

Help chart a fair path forward in light of the #MeToo movement.
(BALTIMORE, Maryland) -
I was very inspired by the bold New York Times piece “Eight Stories of Men’s Regret,” published in response to the polarized debate over now-Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Not only is it brave to confess one’s past transgressions, but it is also necessary for accountability, which is the missing link of #MeToo.
