Human Rights Defender Responds to New Zealand Terrorist Attack

A letter to Prime Minster Adern from Salem-News.com's Human Rights Ambassador

(YORK, UK) - New Zealand Like many other British citizens around the country, I was appalled to wake up to news of the terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, that killed and injured so many people, including children.

You have rightly stated that "what has happened here is an extraordinary and unprecedented act of violence.""is an extraordinary act of unprecedented violence," and "They have no place in New Zealand."

Q: Why is Corbyn so Important?

Exposing the political crisis that is splitting America apart

(LONDON) - corban binkie A: For the same reasons that President Trump has been a significant political development.

These two post-political characters bring to the surface what has been suppressed for decades: we are subject to foreign occupation. We the people, are reduced to mere consumers and our so-called ‘elected politicians’ are a bunch of detached, compromised actors.

Rep. Omar`s Comments and the House Failure to Debate U.S.-Israeli Relations

Why does Israel "need" so much U.S. support?

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) - Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) recently suggested that House supporters of Israel have dual allegiances. Her comments caused a furor. Whether her comments were anti-semitic is debatable. Ideally, this uproar was an excellent opportunity for a long overdue debate on our one-sided U.S foreign policy toward Israel. Instead, the House passed a resolution condemning anti-Semitism and other bigotry.

I fear this resolution will result in a chilling effect on legitimate speech activity. All criticism of Israel is not anti-Semitic.

Can We Divest from Weapons Dealers?

Impoverished people living in numerous countries today would stand a far better chance of survival, and risk far less trauma, if weapon manufacturers such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, and Raytheon stopped manufacturing and selling death-dealing products.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - trade goods Attending funerals for young people in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, at the time one of the poorest in Chicago, I felt deep dismay over the profits that motivated gun runners who sold weapons to students, some of whom would be soon fatally wounded.

In the ensuing decades, larger, more ambitious weapon peddlers have engendered and prolonged fighting between warlords, within and beyond the United States.

Will Democratic Socialism be a Winner in 2020?

Socialistic programs provide safety nets when unregulated capitalism goes awry.

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) - democratic socialist In his State of the Union address, President Trump decried socialism stating, “Tonight, we resolve that America will never be a socialist country.” I bet Trump could not explain what socialism is, nor for that matter, could many Americans.

Why does the word "socialism" cause fear and trembling too many Americans? Many probably think socialism equals that old bogeyman communism. However, communism is primarily a political system, a way of organizing a society in which the government owns the things that are used to make and transport products, and there is no privately owned property.

Purdue Pharma, maker of the highly addictive and dangerous opioid, OxyContin unleashed a holocaust of deaths and addictions by working with the FDA to win approval for long-term use of opioids -- in particular OxyContin.
