Rider Killed, Driver Arrested Following Motorcycle Crash Into Van

The van's driver was arrested by OSP for Criminally Negligent Homicide and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII).

(LA PINE OR) - One person died and another was taken into custody following a fatal traffic crash Saturday evening along Highway 31, about eight miles southeast of Highway 97 in Klamath County.

According to Sergeant Mike Turner, a 2007 Honda motorcycle operated by 57-year old Stephen Anthony Williams of Silver Lake, was eastbound on Highway 31 near milepost 8 on June 22, 2013 at approximately 6:55 p.m., when the motorcycle collided into the passenger side of a 1984 Dodge van that was turning from the westbound lane into a private driveway.

Motorcyclist Struck by Car

A motorcyclist was seriously injured and transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

(EUGENE OR) - A driver struck and seriously injured a man Wednesday morning along the southbound shoulder of Interstate 5 underneath the Harlow Road overpass in Eugene/Springfield area, and was cited by Oregon State Police (OSP) following an investigation.

The man was struck by a car that had traveled onto a portion of the shoulder as he walked near his stopped motorcycle. The driver of the vehicle was cited by OSP for Failure to Drive Within a Lane.

(UPDATE) Two Girls Struck by Car

A third girl, the patient's older sister, was also on scene but was not injured as she was not hit by the vehicle.

(OREGON CITY OR) - Just after noon today two young girls were struck by a car while crossing the street in down town Oregon City. Clackamas Fire Engine 15 arrived to find two female patients ages 7 and 10 down on the ground.

The 10 year old girl had minor injuries and was taken to OHSU by American Medical Response (AMR) in good condition. The 7 year old girl suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by the vehicle and was taken to OHSU by AMR in serious condition.

Semi-Truck Rolls Off of I-84 Ramp to I-5 Northbound

The truck driver who plunged 50 feet down is in the hospital, reportedly in serious condition.

(PORTLAND OR) - Traffic Division officers have conducted a preliminary investigation into this morning's crash on I-84 westbound to I-5 northbound.

Investigators have determined that a 2009 Nissan Versa, driven by 22-year-old Jordan-Ashlee Sylvester of Portland, was driving in the right lane of the ramp and switched to the left lane with the intent of continuing on I-5 northbound.

One Dies, Several Hurt in Linn County Crash

A 70-year old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene; several others were transported to the hospital for treatment.

(ALBANY) - Oregon State Police (OSP) are continuing the investigation into Saturday afternoon's two vehicle fatal traffic crash at the intersection of Highway 99E and Lake Creek Lane in Linn County.

The crash resulted in the death of an adult male and serious injuries to 5 other people. All names will be released Sunday morning.

6 Years Later, Fugitive Sought in Fatal Crash That Killed Marion County Deputy Still Not Located

Alfredo De Jesus Ascencio has been sought by police since he was indicted August 3, 2007 by a Marion County Grand Jury on two counts of Criminally Negligent Homicide.

(SALEM OR) - Sunday, June 16, is the sixth anniversary of the death of Marion County Deputy Kelly Fredinburg who was killed in a late night traffic crash involving another vehicle on Highway 99E north of Gervais.

The driver of the other involving vehicle, Alfredo De Jesus Ascencio, is still a fugitive wanted for two counts of Criminally Negligent Homicide for causing the death his 19-year old passenger and Deputy Fredinburg.

Fatal Traffic Crash - Highway 126W West of Noti in Lane County

Oregon State Police troopers from the Springfield Area Command office are continuing the investigation into the cause of the crash.

(EUGENE, OR) - Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation following the death of an adult female Thursday morning in a single vehicle fatal traffic crash along Highway 126W about two miles west of Noti in Lane County. The victim's name is released in this update.
