Oregon Country Fair Attracts Law Enforcement DUII Saturation

Agencies were in full force for this "High Visibility DUII Saturation Event"

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon Country Fair When it was all finished, a total of fourteen (14) drivers were arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) during the Country Fair's weekend.

Half of those (7) arrested for DUII were under the influence of Marijuana. The remaining seven arrests were for alcohol.

Minto Island Bridge Arches Begin Arriving in Salem

The tied arch bridge design is expected to be a beautiful addition to the Salem skyscape.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Minto Brown Bridge arches Early Monday morning, while most of the city was sleeping, one of two signature arches for the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge arrived in Downtown Salem.

The white arches, which are made from 1-inch thick steel and are 30-inches in diameter, will soon decorate Salem's Downtown Riverfront skyline.

(RICKREALL, Ore.) - Legacy vineyards Eola Hills Wine Cellars invites the public to view the stars at its Legacy Estate Vineyard in Salem (located at 1600 Oak Grove Rd) on the evening of Friday, July 17.

Members of the Salem-based astronomy club, Nightsky 45, will be on hand with their telescopes and knowledge about features visible in the night sky - from the moon to familiar constellations named after months of the Zodiac.

Man Rescued After 26 Foot Fall at Three Pools Park

Mason was taken to the Salem Hospital with serious injuries.

(MARION COUNTY, Ore.) - Rescue from Three Pools Rescuers worked for nearly two hours to recover 26-year old Mason Young, of Salem after he attempted a back flip off of the rocks, fell some 26 feet and missed the water at Three Pools Recreation Area.

Mason was originally assisted by bystanders and then later by Fire and Law Enforcement personnel from seven different jurisdictions.

One Man Injured in Shooting at Cinco de Mayo Festival in Downtown Portland

It does not appear that the shooting is related to the event.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - police line The 19-year-old male victim was involved in a dispute with the suspect before the shooting, which occurred along the seawall, just North of the Morrison Bridge.

Investigators have now identified a 20-year-old male detained at the Rose Quarter Transit Station as the suspect in the shooting. He was arrested and transported away from the scene as the investigation continues.

ODFW Hosts Family Fishing Event March 28 at Devil`s Lake

Families get to learn how to fish together!

(NEWPORT, Ore.) - The Regatta Park Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is hosting a Family Fishing Event Saturday, March 28 at Devils Lake in Lincoln City.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Regatta Park. ODFW will stock the lake with 6,500 rainbow trout, including 2,000 fish that will be released in a large net pen reserved for youths.
