The accused in the blasphemy case is under police custody and World Vision in Progress – WVIP is handling legal matters.

(ISLAMABAD) - Christian cross in Pakistan On October 29, we celebrated our wedding anniversary. After the celebration, lying in bed on a lazy autumn late evening, something dark and nasty reached out to me, my cell phone ringing.

One of my friends was on the line, they said that there is another blasphemy case in Wazirabad Gujranwala, the situation is tense there. I made a call to the local police officer, Sami Ullah, the Station House Officer (SHO), who told me details and confirmed that there is an incident and administration is on the ground looking into the matter.

Chinese authorities usually blame outbreaks of violence in Xinjiang on the region's ethnic minority Muslim Uyghurs, who the government describes as "terrorists". But rights groups and experts say Beijing exaggerates the threat to take the heat off domestic policies that cause unrest or to justify the authorities' use of force against Uyghurs.

(HONG KONG RFA) - Map of Kashgar in China's far western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Seven ethnic minority Uyghurs have been shot dead by police in separate clashes in China's restive northwestern region of Xinjiang and nine others detained for protesting against some of the killings, an exile Uyghur group said on Monday.

Reconstruction of Syria will be aided by three regime reshuffles since the beginning of the March 2011 uprising, which has infused much ‘new blood’ into the Syrian government.

(BEIRUT) - Franklin Lamb Few, one imagines, in the Syrian Arab Republic these days question the urgency and enormity of the task of reconstruction of their ancient country from war inflicted destruction caused by a carnage already more than half as long as World War I and approaching half as long as World War II.

For this ten millennium civilization and its thousands of priceless treasures, many partially destroyed, emergency efforts are needed today to preserve and protect the structures from thieves and war damage. Not many here would disagree with this priority of the Syrian government.

CIA Using Direct Commercial Sales Program to Arm Jihadist Rebels in Syria

It has been revealed that the CIA was actively smuggling weapons to Syrian rebels as the attack on the Benghazi Embassy was waged.

(OZARK, MO) - Hillary and Obama Most Americans had never even heard of Bashar al-Assad, Syria's President, until Obama started ranting about chemical weapons. I talk to people frequently who still can't identify him by name. They are often dumbfounded when they learn that this country has done little to deserve its wrath from the western powers, with the USA in the lead.

The Syrian rebels are far from rational, they are a sect of Islam that does not seek peace, nor do they accept a secular government like Assad's where Christians and Muslims and Jews lived peacefully together.
