(Salem, Oregon) - Willamette University junior pitcher Alex Watilo Willamette University junior pitcher Alex Watilo (Jr., RHP, Newcastle, CA/Del Oro HS) has been named Northwest Conference Softball Pitcher Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts against Whitworth University on April 16-17. It is the third time this season that Watilo has been honored as the Student-Athlete of the Week. She previously was selected on March 1 and March 29.

(Salem, Oregon) - Willamette Bearcats Willamette University received strong batting from the team's three freshmen in the lineup, as the Bearcats defeated the Whitman College Missionaries, 11-5, in the first game of a doubleheader at John Lewis Field on Saturday, April 16. Willamette improved to 16-14 overall, 7-9 in the Northwest Conference, while Whitman fell to 4-26, 3-16 in the NWC.
