Kevin Harvick Wins Nationwide Race at Kentucky

Brad Keselowski finished second in the No. 22 Team Penske Ford.

(SPARTA, Kentucky) - Kevin Harvick Kevin Harvick passed Kyle Busch on a restart with five laps remaining and won the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 300 on Friday at Kentucky Speedway.


Harvick tried to pass Busch on an earlier restart but couldn't quite pull it off. A caution with eight laps to go set up the final restart and a final opportunity for the driver of the No. 5 JR Motorsports Chevrolet to take the lead.

Twenty-three drivers of the 42 entered in Saturday's race topped the track qualifying mark of 183.636 mph set last year by Dale Earnhardt Jr.

(SPARTA, Kentucky) - Brad Keselowski Brad Keselowski knocked teammate Joey Logano from the top spot in the final round of Quaker State 400 qualifying with a blistering lap of 188.791 mph that earned him the pole for Saturday's race at Kentucky Speedway.

It's the third front row sweep by the Team Penske drivers and third pole for Keselowski this season.

Sports is reporting that team owner Paul Allen and general manager Neil Olshey traveled to Los Angeles last week to meet with LaMarcus Aldridge’s representation, Wasserman Media Group, to offer up a max contract extension for the three-time All-Star power forward.

With only a remote chance that Aldridge will agree to the three-year, $55.5 million extension afforded him this summer under the collective bargaining agreement, the Blazers are determined to keep Aldridge on a five-year, $108 million extension that he can sign upon reaching free agency next summer.

Ethan Miller limited the Eugene Emeralds to just two runs through six innings and the Volcanoes scored five runs in the top of the fifth, as Salem-Keizer cruised to their seventh win of the season in the 5-2 victory at PK Park.

“Such behavior cannot be tolerated on any football pitch, and in particular not at a FIFA World Cup when the eyes of millions of people are on the stars on the field," said Claudio Sulser, chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.
