Various Religions Come Together in Nevada in a Tribute to Connecticut Victims

Tributes to all victims, their families, teachers, administrators, and first responders touched by this tragedy.

(RENO, NV) - interfaith tribute for Conn. Shooting Victims Christian-Muslim-Hindu-Buddhist-Jewish-Baha’i leaders came together in Nevada today in a community-wide multi-faith memorial service in honor of Connecticut shooting victims.

26 Slaughtered at Elementary School in Connecticut: 18 Children Dead

The Hartford Courant, citing unnamed sources, said many of the victims were in a kindergarten classroom.

(HARTFORD, CT.) - Children are led from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., on Friday after a reported shooting there.   Shannon Hicks / The Newtown Bee. A young man carrying two handguns shot up an elementary school in Connecticut this morning.

The crime left 26 little kids and adults dead in one the nation’s worst 18 school massacres.

(CLACKAMAS, OR) - The victims who died: Cindy Ann Yuille, age 54, a resident of northeast Portland and Steven Mathew Forsyth, age 45, of West Linn Following are new details on yesterday's active-shooter incident at Clackamas Town Center -- including victim names, suspect details, photos, event chronology, list of participating agencies and mental-health resources.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's office has released the names of the two individuals killed in this attack.

Update on Mall Shooting from Clackamas County Sheriff`s Office

The mall will remain closed this evening.

(CLACKAMAS, OR) - Video frame from Clackamas Mall shooting As of 5:30 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is able to confirm that the suspect in the active shooter incident at Clackamas Town Center is deceased.

At this point in the investigation, it appears that the suspect acted alone inside the mall.

The Oregonian reports that two people are dead, several are hurt, and that the shooter used an AR-15 rifle; the civilian version of the military M-16.

TV station KATU writes that dozens of shots were fired in the food court at Clackamas Town Center this afternoon, according to witness statements.
