Update on Mall Shooting from Clackamas County Sheriff`s Office

The mall will remain closed this evening.

(CLACKAMAS, OR) - As of 5:30 p.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is able to confirm that the suspect in the active shooter incident at Clackamas Town Center is deceased.

At this point in the investigation, it appears that the suspect acted alone inside the mall.

The Oregonian reports that two people are dead, several are hurt, and that the shooter used an AR-15 rifle; the civilian version of the military M-16.
