Man Held at Knifepoint During Robbery in Scio

(SCIO, Ore. ) - robbery investigation The Linn County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating two men wanted in connection with a robbery in Scio, Oregon.

Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley says deputies received a call on July 2 from 21-year-old Nickolaus Thomas Blair of Scio, saying he had just been robbed at knife point after walking his dog along the banks of Thomas Creek.

91-Year-Old Missing Scio Man Found Dead in Thomas Creek

On Tuesday at 10:08 a.m., Getz' body was located by Oregon Air National Guard.

(SCIO, Ore. ) - Linn County Undersheriff Jim Yon says, the Linn County Sheriff's Office received a call of a missing 91-year-old man with dementia on June 30, at 11:26 p.m. from a residence in the 45000 block of Thomas Creek road outside of Scio.

Ashby "Al" Getz was last seen inside the residence reading a book earlier in the evening.

200 Sheep Killed When Truck Overturns East Of Salem

The driver was transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries to Samaritan Albany General Hospital.

(SCIO, Ore. ) - sheep after crash Emergency responders, Linn County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police are at the scene of an injury commercial truck rollover crash along Highway 226 near Scio involving a trailer transporting more than 300 sheep.

Some of the sheep were reported injured and killed, and others removed from the trailer.
