Volcanoes Offense Struggles Again; Drop to 0-3

Over the past two games, Salem-Keizer has left 18 runners on base.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem-Keizer Volcanoes The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes entered Sunday night's game searching for their first lead of the 2014 season. After another game against the defending champion Vancouver Canadians, the Volcanoes never found what they were looking for.

Vancouver scored two runs in the third inning and three runs in the fifth, all coming with two outs, as the Canadians defeated the Volcanoes 6-1 for their third straight win.

Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Off to Rocky Start

The Volcanoes went two-for-nine with runners in scoring position and left 10 runners on base.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - After managing just four hits in last night's loss, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes' offense contained a little more life on Friday, outhitting Vancouver nine to six.

Canadians Blast Volcanoes on Opening Night, 11-2

The Volcanoes return to the field on Saturday night for game two of their five game series against the Canadians.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - The last time the Vancouver Canadians were on a baseball field, they were celebrating their third consecutive Northwest League title in 2013. There was no title involved on Friday, but they still had plenty of reason to celebrate.

The Volcanoes managed only four hits, and surrendered two errors and seven wild pitches, as Vancouver defeated Salem-Keizer 11-2 on opening night.

The Volcanoes' offense refused to let up. An RBI triple by Ryan Jones and a home run by Shilo McCall gave Salem-Keizer a 10-1 lead

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes went through just one team practice entering Thursday night's preseason contest against the College All-Stars. That one practice was all they needed.

The offense pounded out 16 runs on 17 hits, and Jason Forjet tossed four shutout innings as the Volcanoes defeated the College All-Star team 16-3 at Volcanoes Stadium

Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Return 15 Players From 2013 Season

The 14 man pitching staff is comprised of eight Volcanoes veterans, including two that made a significant impact on the 2013 South Division champion Salem-Keizer squad.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, in conjunction with the San Francisco Giants, released the initial 2014 roster Monday afternoon highlighted by 15 returning Volcanoes players.

The roster is made up of 27 players: 14 pitchers, three catchers, six infielders and four outfielders. Second-year manager Gary Davenport returns an experienced lineup to begin the Northwest League campaign Friday, June 13, against the three-time defending champion Vancouver Canadians.
